I Really Want to Date You

Qi Xin had gone to an interview. As she waited in the lounge, she fell in love at first sight with an interviewer passing by.

Her roommate asked on WeChat how the interview was going. Thrilled, Qi Xin replied: “I have to tell you, I’ve got my eye on one of the interviewers!”

Her roommate was exasperated. “Did you go there to find a job, or to find a boyfriend?”

Qi Xin declared confidently: “Only kids have to choose. Adults get both!”

Later, Ye Chaoyang accidentally found out how she felt.

Qi Xin hurriedly explained, embarrassed. “I was joking with a friend.”

Ye Chaoyang gave a quiet snort and said expressionlessly, “That wasn’t funny at all.”

She was about to apologize when she heard him say, perfectly seriously, “You’d better mean it.”

Qi Xin froze for a moment, then looked up and met his earnest gaze.
