After Failing to Win Over the Strongest

After graduating from Jujutsu High, Wakashima Hitomi left the jujutsu world to become an idol. Eight years later, her group disbanded and left her with a mountain of debt. Homeless, Wakashima Hitomi ran into her rich ex-boyfriend Gojo, now the strongest in the jujutsu world. He gave her an indescribable look. “How have you been, Hitomi?” When she didn’t answer, he leaned in with a cheeky grin, utterly ignoring personal space. “Haha, judging by that, things have been pretty terrible.” He’s gotten even harder to deal with, Wakashima Hitomi thought calmly. Gojo had grown taller. When he wasn’t smiling, his handsome face looked sharp and cold. His icy blue eyes, visible once he took off his blindfold, were detached and merciless. Back at Jujutsu High, he’d been at that age when even cats and dogs couldn’t stand him. He was her least favorite classmate. One day, she saw him from a distance, rolling his eyes and sticking out his tongue at empty air. “Huh? ‘Choose your romance type’? Did I say you could? Don’t get all worked up on your own, okay? Ugh...” Gojo had been forced to bind himself to a romance System. He had to find love, and poor Wakashima Hitomi was unlucky enough to be chosen by the System as his romantic target. She was dragged into all kinds of staged encounters, forced to move, and forced to become even more unfortunate. Since getting close to this guy seemed to make her life a little easier, she started playing along with his romance game. Hand-holding, hugging, even kissing. He blushed while smugly telling the System, “See? She’s absolutely crazy about me.” Then came the day when the affection meter became visible. He stared in shock at her affection rating for him. It read: Affection: [0]. When they broke up, his expression was terrifying. As his memories returned, Gojo’s hand brushed her fingers with teasing familiarity, its heat making her tremble all over. In a low, amused voice, he said, “Poor thing. Want to come stay at my place?” And so began her life living with her ex, Gojo the cat. Back in their Jujutsu High days, he was an arrogant, bad-tempered, immature, irritating cat. As an adult, the 5t5 was still a menace. Wakashima Hitomi was a pretty, spoiled, timid, painfully shy, slow-to-catch-on, down-on-her-luck elf idol. [Before You Read] 1. Jujutsu Kaisen fanfic with lots of original settings, OOC characters, and plot holes. 2. They reunite from the start, with flashbacks woven in. A youth-and-first-love story about getting back together, but an absurd everyday romantic comedy (no, the actual story is ridiculous and deranged). One-on-one pairing, happy ending, and, at heart, a fluffy story about a beautiful idiot. 3. A down-on-her-luck idol returns to the jujutsu world as a teacher and moves in with young Gojo. The heroine is a special-grade sorcerer and a long-lived elf. She has a different personality when performing and in private, and her ability is basically “I summon my brother to beat you up,” since her brother is like Rika. 4. The author often updates at ungodly hours and spends all other writing-free time hiding from the world. 5. Past-timeline sections are marked with ★. [Next story: “The Hero from Another World Turns Out to Be the Demon King’s Senior!!!”] The world has been restored for the Nth year since its destruction. You awaken in the chaos. As a god, you once destroyed the old world. You still hate this world, and you’re determined to reclaim your power and destroy it a second time. Before that, you met a fascinating pen pal. You’ve never met in person, but he found the divine book that serves as a manifestation of your power. You communicate through the book. He says, “When the first number is odd and the second is even, the number stays the same!” You reply, “Check the sign by the quadrant.” He says, “Palace Court Jade Liquid Wine!” You reply, “One hundred and eighty a cup.” You’re only replying out of habit. You’ve almost forgotten why those answers come so naturally to you, but he gets incredibly excited, like a mad cultist who’s just cracked a secret code. He says, “(Roars) (Turns into a monkey and slams into a tree) (Swings healthily from the vines) (Squeals loudly) (Flies around energetically) (Cries hysterically) (Healthily crashes into passersby) (Beats his chest and roars with excitement) (Kicks over a trash can) (Tears in his eyes) I’ve finally found you, senpai!!!” You: “...” Don’t scribble all over the book!!!! You think he’s kind of weird. Gradually, you find him warm and interesting. You’re starting to want to meet him. You disguise yourself as a follower of the enemy and sneak into the ragtag band of old, weak, and sick (crossed out) adventurers he’s assembled to defeat you. The moment you meet him, you realize he’s hit your exact type! Blond hair, raised eyebrows, charming eyes, tall, broad-shouldered, and built like a hunk. “An affectionate, busty puppy of a man who’s great with kids is the best!” you think mournfully. You try to encourage yourself. Someday, you’ll work up the courage to reveal who you are and greet your pen pal! Well... it does seem like he doesn’t like you very much as the Demon God. You: I need to figure out how to destroy the world and make him my follower at the same time. * Four years after transmigrating, Gil has risen to become the First Knight of the Holy Temple, but he’s still looking for a way back home. He dramatically quits his cushy knight job and signs up as a rookie hero, joining the race to defeat the Demon King at the bottom of the rankings!!! They say that killing a Demon God will make you a god and reveal a way home. The Demon God is the Demon King after the gods fell, and may be the last god. Gil accepts the challenge, but something goes wrong on the journey to defeat the Demon God. He falls for the con artist witch who has disguised herself as a follower of the God of Light and joined his party. “She’s lying,” Gil thinks at their first meeting, his smile warm as the sword in his hand gleams with a sharp, dangerous light. “The way she lowers her eyes by the window makes her look like a daffodil drenched in rain.” Later, he even starts thinking that “staying in this world with Miss Con Artist might not be so bad.” But staying is out of the question. Gil hates everything about this other world, and getting home is his only goal. He’ll do whatever it takes. There’s just one problem: he’s met Miss Con Artist, who’s deeply in love with the Demon God and has an unshakable faith in them. She’s a total fanatic, even sleeping with a little statue of the Demon God and kissing it a few times before bed. Gil: Ah. Gil: I need to figure out how to kill the Demon God and take Miss Con Artist home with me. * You’ve been fooled. The enthusiastic puppy isn’t just an enthusiastic puppy. He has a wildly contradictory personality, a grim and harrowing past, and behavior that’s impossible to predict. The puppy who used to call you “senpai” and whine, “Why are you like this?” in a cutesy voice is gone for good! You’re now convinced beyond a doubt that he’s a bad dog. And by now, the two of you have formed an inescapable bond through all your love and hate. Tearfully resting your head on the hero’s muscular chest, you eat three extra bowls of rice. * Pairing: A former Holy Temple knight turned rookie hero, a blond, healthy-looking, busty puppy-like man with a wildly contradictory personality, and a transmigrator × a fragile, beautiful Demon King whose looks and mental state are equally beautiful, unhinged, and deranged.
