[Coming Soon] [Non-typical insect-world setting]
In the world of bees, rare male bees and powerful female bees are bound by pheromones, while the vast majority, the worker bees, cannot mark a mate and are the most ordinary members of the social structure.
Chi Mo, the fair-skinned, handsome second young master of the Chi family, always thought he would differentiate into a male bee. But one day he differentiates into a worker bee instead. His family is utterly disappointed, and his childhood friend, an A-rank female bee, immediately calls off their engagement and marries his younger male-bee brother, who shares the same father but has a different mother.
Now an unloved nobody, Chi Mo moves out of the family home and has no choice but to attend a technical school and become a logistics soldier. He never expected that his dark-skinned roommate, Shang Wang, would be an exceptionally powerful S-rank female bee major, as well as the person his family's elder brother wants to cozy up to.
Chi Mo, who has no ordinary desire to reproduce: I'm just a worker bee, anyway. Your love and hate have nothing to do with me. I'll just eat snacks, sleep, and work in logistics.
But during a heat, Shang Wang loses his mind and corners Chi Mo in their dorm room. He looms over him and presses his canine teeth against Chi Mo's gland.
Shang Wang: "Why did you smile at the female bee next door? Do you like him?"
Facing Shang Wang's delirious question, Chi Mo calmly pushes him away. "Wake up, Major Shang. I'm just a worker-bee logistics soldier. Here, I'll just give you a shot and you'll be fine."
As Shang Wang gradually comes to his senses, his eyes are red and damp. "Why do you always push me away? I released so much pheromone, so why does it never work? Is there something wrong with me?"
Faced with Shang Wang acting spoiled, Chi Mo says: Wake up, Major Shang. I'm just a worker-bee logistics soldier. You'll have to find a male bee after you get married if you want to know whether it works.
Shang Wang pulls Chi Mo into his arms, his voice hoarse. "Then what would it take for you to pin me down?"
Chi Mo: ?
#What?! I thought we were bros, but you want me to top you.jpg
Later, Chi Mo is transferred to an affiliated district. Thinking Shang Wang's enthusiasm will soon fade, he gets together with a male bee.
Chi Mo: Everything's back on track, and I'm still just an ordinary little worker-bee logistics soldier.
But when he opens the door to his new dorm, he sees the dark-skinned major grinning at him. What a coincidence.
Chi Mo: Wait, where's my roommate?
Shang Wang: That female bee was transferred elsewhere w
A fair-skinned worker-bee gong with no romantic prospects or ordinary desires, who thinks no one loves him, X a proactive, scheming, self-deluded S-rank dark-skinned female-bee shou
Content notes:
1. I want to write a straightforward romance-focused story. The gong won't evolve into a male bee and can't mark female bees, and he's also a little asexual (hits wooden fish).
2. The gong initially sees the shou only as a partner and buddy. The shou pursues the gong, while the gong likes the shou without realizing it.
3. The author's brain isn't great. This is probably a very straightforward, tropey story.
4. Everything about the setting is original. In nature, worker bees are female, but in this story they're bees who can't mark others and are asexual.
The idea's still rough, but it's a transformed insect-world setting. If you're interested, feel free to bookmark it. As of October 15, 2023, the whole story may still change!
