[Genshin Impact] My Favorite Harbinger

As a member of an organization renowned throughout Teyvat, Xie Miao's everyday conversations go like this:

"What's for lunch in the cafeteria?"

"How much longer until we can clock out?"

"When will my paycheck finally arrive?"

His colleagues are all famous Harbingers. Some may be obsessed with research, others with making money, and still others may be on their way to a fight.

But Xie Miao's work rules are simple:

1. Flash an invincible smile to destroy the media.

2. Maintain a polished public image.

3. Be the perfect genius idol.

The last rule is the most important, because Xie Miao isn't just a hugely popular idol. He's also the Fatui Harbinger known as Idol.

Excerpt 1

"I'm announcing that Dottore and I are temporarily no longer friends." Xie Miao grabbed his newly made friend Tartaglia and said earnestly.

Tartaglia, who couldn't see any sign that the two had ever been friends: "Huh?"

Xie Miao didn't care and continued on his own: "I kindly gave him one of my limited-edition signed photos, but he turned around and sold it to fund his experiments."

"What a tasteless guy!"

Few people know that Pantalone is not only the Fatui Harbinger known as the Regrator, but also a scalper who inspires both love and hate among Xie Miao's fans.

As a businessman who's very good at making money, he has mastered the art of buying and reselling his own merchandise.

Xie Miao had this to say about his wealthy benefactor's nasty behavior:

"I'm done. You got me, Dad."

A few things to know before reading:

1. I'm terrible at blurbs. The story sounds serious, but the content is ridiculous.

2. This isn't your typical everyone-loves-the-protagonist story. There is out-of-character writing and original worldbuilding.

3. The pairing isn't decided yet. I'll add it to the blurb once it is.

4. In short, it's a lighthearted comedy that requires no brainpower.

Theme: An idol's purpose is to bring positive energy.
