A narcissist story, happy ending, with a System
Qin Buchi is an environmental photographer. After narrowly escaping death in the desert, he has been searching for the person who saved him.
“No one.”
“Impossible.”
“Maybe it was the god of fortune.”
“I'm just glad you're back.”
Everyone tells him that person doesn't exist, just like Qin Yi back then. They didn't exist and shouldn't have existed.
But he clings to every tiny detail, desperate to prove that the other person wasn't a hallucination.
Later, Qin Buchi meets the voice he's been longing for and cautiously tries to find out whether this person was the one who saved him in the desert.
He and Chen Chu become confidants, then gradually become lovers.
But just as he draws closer and closer to the truth, Chen Chu disappears after leaving the rainforest, as if everything had been a fantasy.
He wants proof that Chen Chu exists, even as the truth closing in on him becomes harder and harder to accept.
Once he gets close to the truth, the system of the world around him collapses, and he can no longer tell fantasy from reality.
Chen Chu says:
“This isn't the first time I've saved you, but I promise it'll be the last.”
“I know what kind of love you need most.”
“I understand you better than the path this world has laid out for you.”
“Qin Buchi, don't stand against me.”
“Science says this is just a hallucination brought on by a surge of adrenaline.”
“But Chen Chu exists.”
Theme: Saving yourself in the face of adversity
My midterm results came out recently. I was a little sad that I failed in math and history. But luckily, I did very well in Chinese! Now I have time to read large-scale articles, and the writing is still as good as ever! Come on! And I didn't expect that it would end soon??????
I finished watching it. I haven't seen enough of the emotional line and it ended. It ended with fireworks 🎆🎆
