Cang Shuli spat blood. "So this is the stupid bird that ate half of my cultivation?"
Half her cultivation? Who would believe that? That was outrageous.
Cang Shuli's eyes filled with murderous intent. "Stew it."
Zhu Fuyu: "Wait, I just got here. Do you really have to be this brutal?"
She never expected that on her very first day in the xianxia world, she would become a dish on an immortal's dinner table.
Luckily, protected by her cultivation, she became immortal. She couldn't be stewed to death, steamed until tender, or fried until cooked.

Cang Shuli was an immortal heiress who had never known a setback. Not only was her immortal power peerless, she was also breathtakingly beautiful.
To successfully ascend to godhood, she had poured five hundred years of cultivation into nurturing a Spirit-Rhyme Fruit.
But a moment before the ninth thunder tribulation struck, she learned that a fledgling bird had stolen and eaten the fruit, rendering all her efforts useless.
To get her cultivation back, she tried slow-stewing, steaming, and deep-frying Zhu Fuyu. The bird remained completely unharmed.
But she discovered that although the stupid bird was a little greedy, it was clever, considerate, and very good at pleasing her. So she spared its life and took it in as a pet. From then on, the immortal and the bird were inseparable.
Zhu Fuyu covered her face and wept. "To keep my bird life, I have no choice but to put up with this."
One night, not long after she fell asleep, a soft, beautiful woman suddenly appeared in her arms. Cang Shuli flew into a rage. "You lecher! Prepare to die!"
One day, the divine beast Kunze accidentally licked Zhu Fuyu's tears, and the adorable pet instantly transformed into a giant beast.
Cang Shuli finally understood. So she'd been eating it the wrong way...
From then on, she tormented Zhu Fuyu day and night, keeping her tied to her side and never letting her out of sight. They even had to sleep together, lest someone else snatch her away.
After all, she was five hundred years of cultivation walking around! How could she let someone else benefit?
The immortals shook their heads. "Your cultivation is too overbearing. Who could withstand it? If you want a cultivation partner, just say so. Why go around calling her a thief?"

Zhu Fuyu never dreamed she'd turn back into a human one day. She thought Cang Shuli would treat her like a person, but it turned out to be the start of a nightmare.
Her miserable life consisted of crying and more crying, day and night.
How awful! She was being used as a medicinal ingredient!
Later, she gradually realized that what Cang Shuli was doing to her was simply dual cultivation, wasn't it?

Zhu Fuyu sobbed uncontrollably. "Cang Shuli, you're not human!"
Cang Shuli snorted. "And you are?"

After a tender interlude, Zhu Fuyu complained, "I suspect you devour me every time just to boost your cultivation..."
Cang Shuli: "No need to suspect. That's exactly right."
Zhu Fuyu: "That's too much! Way too much!"
Cang Shuli: "What, feel like you're getting the short end of the stick? Then take it back by your own strength."
Zhu Fuyu: "You mean it?"
Cang Shuli: "When have I ever lied to you?"
Zhu Fuyu smiled to herself. Then she'd have to turn the tables and get her revenge!
