Ace of the Diamond: A Boy's Summer

Takahashi Rinji had to quit youth baseball because of growing pains. When he returns to the sport, his starting point is Seido. As a monster batter, he also has to be the pitchers’ mom, always keeping an eye on their emotional growth. Well, there’s no help for it. Pitchers are the treasures of a team, after all. Though someone seems to be enjoying the role a little too much. A mean-spirited catcher senpai, a squinty-eyed upperclassman, and a kind senpai he admires... Make up for the senpais’ regrets and press on toward Koshien! Content warnings A self-indulgent work, written entirely for my own enjoyment. Updates whenever I feel like it. There may be OOC characterization. No CP, but you’re welcome to ship characters. The protagonist is a local. The protagonist is an infielder and a batter. I don’t want him to be a pitcher. I love the whole cast and don’t mean to bash anyone. I like every single one of them. The protagonist is a bit like a lubricant who resolves misunderstandings. I don’t want to hurt any of them. I may disappoint Inashiro fans: Seido will make it to Koshien. If you don’t like that, please don’t read. I like Mei too, but I’m afraid I’ll have to let him down. Theme: Sports make dreams come true
