CP: Jing Guang x He Shu
[Blurb]
Because of his parents, Jiecheng He Shu was destined to be part of the Organization from the day he was born.
When he was seven, his parents passed away, leaving behind only a life-saving secret medicine said to be capable of “bringing the dead back to life.” Its side effects were unknown.
He hid it in a compartment of the pendant that held his parents’ photograph.
Though he was protected by his parents’ legacy, his abilities were only average. By personal choice as well, Jiecheng He Shu never received a codename like his parents. Instead, he joined the support team.
His work schedule was erratic, with frequent three-shift rotations, but the generous overtime pay and relatively safe, stable conditions compared with the field team meant he had no complaints about this “job.”
That was until he fell in love at first sight with a sniper codenamed “Scotch.”
Just as he could no longer hold back his feelings and was preparing to quietly confess, he was abruptly ordered to head to a building and handle the cleanup after the execution of an undercover agent.
But when Jiecheng He Shu arrived, he found the person he loved in a narrow alley, covered in blood across the chest and no longer breathing.
Unwilling to accept reality, Jiecheng He Shu decided to try anything, even a desperate long shot. Gritting his teeth, he fed Scotch the only pill his parents had left him, then secretly brought him back to a safe house.
The medicine really worked.
However, perhaps because of its side effects, when Scotch awoke, he had lost all his memories. Even his once-black hair had turned completely snow-white overnight, and his eyes had changed from sky blue to blood red.
Like a vampire from a legend.
As he faced Scotch’s confusion and ignorance, Jiecheng He Shu pressed his lips together, his heart wavering.
In the end, for the other man’s safety, he told him everything he knew.
“You’re a member of the Organization, codenamed Scotch. Your surname is Midorikawa, and you’re a sniper. But three days ago, the Organization’s higher-ups discovered that... you were an undercover agent sent by the police. As for why I saved you...”
Yet when it came to their relationship, he looked into Scotch’s clear, innocent eyes, felt his resolve shift, and stammered out the biggest lie of his life.
“Because you’re my... boyfriend.”
