The young man from the Pei family was promised to the third son of the Xing family in Zhuxi Village. The engagement was settled one day, and they hurriedly married the next. The villagers said they were both unfortunate souls.
One was gravely injured, and his family could think of no other way to save him than to bring in a bride for good luck;
The other had lost his birth mother as a child, and his father didn't love him. As a young man, he had to scrape by under the thumb of his stepmother, enduring abuse and beatings whenever he displeased her. To pay off her son's debts, his stepmother, without a shred of conscience, demanded an exorbitant bride price and sent him off to bring good luck to the injured man.
No matter how unwilling Pei Jiu was, there was nothing he could do. After a vicious beating from his stepmother and a bowl of medicinal soup, he was sent to the Xing family in a daze.
Seriously wounded, Xing Nan dragged the tiger he had killed and, driven by sheer force of will, made it out of the mountains. As he collapsed, unable to go on, he thought his short life had finally reached its end.
But after lying in a haze for more than a month, Xing Nan miraculously woke up. The first thing he saw was a slender, unfamiliar young man. Somehow, his fiancée had become a little husband.
Pei Jiu thought marrying into the Xing family to bring good luck would be the start of another ordeal;
Xing Nan thought his brief life was about to end;
Two people who had nothing to do with each other were bound together by an unintended marriage meant to bring good luck.
Pei Jiu cautiously tried to make a life for himself in the Xing household, afraid that one wrong move would earn him a beating. The Xing family members were kind-hearted. They treated Pei Jiu well, never scolding or beating him, made sure he had enough to eat and warm clothes to wear, and cared for and protected him.
After Xing Nan finished working, sweat covering him, he wiped his face with a handkerchief, expressionless. Thinking of how his timid little husband had dared to fight someone for his sake, his heart grew soft and warm, and the corners of his mouth lifted.
Raising children, farming, and doing business: a hardworking family grows prosperous and enjoys the simple happiness of everyday life together.
This is a fictional setting with no golden finger and no court politics, just a cozy, everyday story about country life, farming, and raising children.
The author is a bit socially awkward and isn't very good at using some of the site's features. I hope you won't mind. I'll do my best to keep updating. Thank you all.
Coming soon: How Many Flowers Fall in Dreams, featuring a calculating, devoted gong and an insecure, sensitive, sweetly naive beauty shou. Cuties who like it, please add it to your favorites!
Theme: Hard work brings prosperity; a simple life is all the more precious
Got signed today! Thanks for the support, little cuties, I have the motivation to persevere and show my heart.
It was really not easy for me to write all the way. I remember that when I first collected it, I only had 200 or 300 in it. At that time, I thought this article might be a trap. Thank you for your persistence. The writing is really delicate. This is the most boring farming article I have followed recently. Every character has flesh and blood, and every character is indispensable. This article is really worth pursuing. I hope the lame husband will continue to maintain his standards. Come on
The social animal chase is finally over!!! It's not easy 😭 😭 Madam, please update the next book soon!! The update was completed in one click!!!
More lame husband!!! More lame husband!!! More lame husband!!!
Not even my lame husband, it's been so long since I've updated
Just like a family member who has been with me these days, all that is left is my thoughts
Sprinkle flowers?? Congratulations on the completion
It's actually coming to an end. I was still an unemployed vagrant when I was writing the article, and now I'm a part-time worker working overtime every day.
