The Entertainment Industry's Biggest Pushover [But in Her Villain Era]

Gong Xin is a rising actress, hustling steadily along the narrow road to stardom.

She's done a xianxia drama, gone on a dating show, and paid for press releases about how her beauty slays. All Gong Xin needs now is to become a huge star.

Gong Xin: Tremble, entertainment industry! The Ziwei Star has arrived!

She doesn't make it. Doesn't make it. Doesn't make it... Others rise to fame while she gets trampled, repeatedly sabotaged.

Gong Xin: ???

Then she dreams that she's actually a cannon-fodder supporting actress in a bunch of entertainment-industry novels, and all her colleagues are the protagonists.

In The CEO's Canary, she's the original leading lady of a big-budget IP, bought out by the CEO who throws money around just to make his canary smile.

In the pampered lucky-star heroine novel, she's the unlucky foil to the heroine.

In the sweet romance about a top-tier star and a female fan, she plays the hapless victim framed by the star's fans, who accuse her of shamelessly throwing herself at him.

Gong Xin sobs and flips the bird.

Even if she can't be the heroine, can't they stop using her as a prop so many times? Are they seriously going to keep milking just her?

The hapless victim, the endlessly reused prop: Gong Xin decides to go off the rails.

Things are already this bad, so to hell with it all!

So Gong Xin goes dark. She curses out the CEO who got her fired, then furiously stays away from the pampered lucky-star heroine. She'd rather viewers call her ill-mannered than be dragged down by bad luck.

And what about the top-tier star in the sweet romance?

Gong Xin raises her hand: I have an accusation to make!

He uses his fans' money to support his sister-in-law. If he doesn't flop, then heaven has no justice!

And just like that, Prop Gong Xin becomes Ziwei Star Gong Xin.

The fake canaries, who are actually powerful big shots, shyly toss three scripts for starring roles in movies to Gong Xin, thanking her for helping make their games possible.

The top-tier star's fans leave him and become Gong Xin fans instead.

The pampered lucky-star heroine gazes at Gong Xin with stars in her eyes and confesses: "Everyone clings to me, but you're the only one who keeps your distance. How did you know I was in a bad mood and wanted some quiet?"

Viewers: Watching a beautiful woman go off the rails is great. Give us all the industry gossip!

Gong Xin: ? Nice.

She pauses her crying and realizes this is the road to wealth and fame. She can make a fortune and become a huge star!
