I, Minowei, am a sapphire of misfortune.
For ages, people have made wishes to me and paid the price for them. I thought this life would go on forever.
But one day, a thief stole me. They were utterly irresponsible and constantly on the move, so before long, I was all alone.
As I explored the vast world by myself, I met all sorts of strange people: those who would give their lives for their group, those who sacrificed themselves for their families, those who wandered alone in pursuit of a blood feud, and those who were fickle...
People are always chasing their desires, making wishes to me that can never be undone.
