A strange and quirky story
Original female protagonist & Snape
Liena is a red-haired, green-eyed girl. Everyone who meets her says, "You look so much like Lily Evans." But Lily is warm and radiant, with a happy family. Liena, by contrast, lacks the foundation for building loving relationships. Her parents died young, and her adoptive mother has a volatile temper, shaping her into someone both insecure and conceited.
How are they alike, exactly? Liena dislikes anyone who mistakes her for someone else. But she is destined to receive privileges she never deserved because of her looks, and to suffer hardships she should never have had to endure.
Will anyone love me, she wonders, and love only me, without a trace of ulterior motive? Someone starved of love will chase even the faintest spark of it at any cost, even if it means flying into the flames.
A Hufflepuff heroine and her old professor
Liena often thinks back on all the little moments she shared with Snape. The imbalance of information and their age difference mean their love is doomed to be out of step. Yet she cannot escape it. She is already in too deep, but still wants to reach out and pull someone from the abyss.
Note: The heroine lives in Britain. She did not transmigrate, and she doesn't know the whole story.
Warnings
Snape's behavior and characterization when he meets the heroine may not quite fit. It's foreshadowing, foreshadowing.
There is a large age gap between the leads.
The tone shifts quickly, with both sorrow and joy. This is neither an unrelenting tragedy nor an unrelenting comedy.
The author updates slowly.
Please be gentle.
