The third revision is up, and reading it has left me feeling all mixed up.
The whole story actually began on a whim, when I suddenly had an idea on MKT's birthday one year. Somehow, I kept updating it, treating it as part of my weekly routine.
With only a basic outline, and given how willful I am about writing, I eventually realized I had almost lost control of where the story was going.
Also, most of the protagonists' original characterizations were based on the very vague, ambiguous image of him from the first MV, then reworked from there. As the project went on, the characters gradually drifted incredibly far from the official settings.
Eventually, I even felt like I was piling one hardship after another onto MKT just to satisfy myself.
And since I could barely keep up with work and life anymore, I abruptly stopped updating.
A lot happened during the hiatus, and my perspective on the world changed, too.
Just as MKT calmly accepted everything in the end, after listening to the audio drama and feeling somewhat at peace, I suddenly realized I had to try to move this stalled story forward.
Whether I completely revise the whole thing or start a new story from scratch, I have to give this story, which I abandoned halfway through, an ending.

* The character is based on a real person: Mikoto Kayano, No. 009 from the music project Milgram, a violent, double-personality office worker who committed murder. He's built like a gorilla but has a very refined face.
* This story probably only borrows the character's appearance.
* Not recommended as a derivative work of the original!
* Not recommended for fans of the original who have a firmly established image of MKT!
* Contains a lot of my own headcanons, including but not limited to Milgram, Corpse Party, Summer Time Rendering, The Case Book of Arne, Sakamoto Days, and Bungo Stray Dogs, as well as highly personal plot theories and speculation about the characters' inner thoughts.
