Sixth-Grade Vocabulary Words Become Spirit Charms

Don't ask. Let's just say my mental state is a mess.

A power-up story with plenty of thrills. Come memorize vocabulary with me, wahahaha--

You died, then came back to life.

You have no money or identity, and you've transmigrated into a high-risk world of anime crossovers. The good news is, you have a cheat ability.

It's called the CET-6 Vocabulary Check-In Device.

That's right, you transmigrated, but you still have to memorize vocabulary.

You: )

The words come in groups of ten. You have to memorize one group before you can move on to the next. Every word you learn becomes a "word spirit," making whatever you say come true.

A curse has driven you into a building.

Inside, a bomb disposal squad is hard at work.

The bomb is about to explode.

The curse is about to catch up with you.

You're out of options, but the words you memorized yesterday suddenly come to mind, so you shout, "Shield!"

A shield half your height, made of some unknown material, appears in your hands.

It can't stop them.

There's no way it can stop them.

Then inspiration strikes, and you yell, "A very very very big and strong shield!"

As the bomb disposal squad watches in amazement or stunned silence, a sturdy, heavy shield stretching all the way to the ceiling crashes to the floor with a bang, protecting everyone in the corner.

The explosion and the curse are held back completely, unable to hurt them in the slightest.

Kenji, who just witnessed the miracle: Did I... not wake up today?

When I start writing, it might become "graduate entrance exam vocabulary turned into word spirits," depending on what I'm memorizing at the time. But the basic joke won't change, because college students' mental states are always a mess (smile).
