Miss Witch and Mr. Dazai

Hoshime Aokaede, an upbeat and cheerful magical girl, transferred to Yokohama, the “City-State of the Gifted,” on her birthday.

Then, on an ordinary weekend, she found a drowning boy in the Tsurumi River, his body wrapped in bandages.

Oh, God.

The moment their eyes met, she plunged headfirst into his violet gaze.

In this oxidized, decaying world,

she had finally found someone like herself, someone who could neither sink into despair nor escape it.

-

From the moment Dazai Osamu first saw Hoshime Aokaede, he knew she was exactly the kind of person he hated most.

Radiant, passionate, and almost foolishly innocent.

But the girl was always following him, never too close or too far, like a little sun that would never set, keeping just the right distance so she wouldn't burn him.

Clingy, annoying, but...

[Impossible to refuse]

Until one day, inside a Witch's Barrier that had yet to disappear, he saw the girl just after a battle, before she had time to purify her Soul Gem with a Grief Seed.

That vacant, despairing look in her eyes.

Ah... I see.

She's one of us.

Two cowards draw close to each other, piecing together their broken lover.
