In the nineteenth year of Emperor Hong of the Ji Kingdom, powerful ministers held sway, and turmoil brewed beneath the surface.
Three years ago, at a banquet, the musician Yan Qing had just arrived in Chang'an. While performing, she was innocently caught up in a spy's schemes, but a young gentleman happened to step in and get her out of trouble.
Fate had other plans. Three years later, they met again, but Yan Qing had become a spy at Linxian Tower, and the target she was ordered to watch at the Wen residence was none other than that same gentleman, Wen Jiyun.
*
The Wen family had served as military generals for generations, utterly loyal to the throne and serving only the current emperor.
Yet the third young master of the Wens, Wen Jiyun, had a terrible reputation among the people. They said he knew nothing of military affairs and spent his days indulging in pleasure. The world mockingly called him "Wen the Libertine."
But Yan Qing knew this was not the real Wen Jiyun.
When she was lost and disheartened, Wen Jiyun would talk with her beneath the bright moon and gentle breeze about music, life, and the way of the world.
When the powerful abused their authority, Wen Jiyun would step forward with his sword, quiet the grievances of countless soldiers, and restore an honorable name to a loyal minister.
Yan Qing had heard his refined music, and seen the fierce brilliance of his sword.
"The moonlight is lovely tonight, clearer than it has been these past few days."
Before they met, each had walked alone, unaware of how far they had already come.
After they came to understand one another, only by sharing the hidden darkness and the brightness in their hearts could they find their way through the boundless clouds and mist.

An ensemble-cast story. The setting takes inspiration from the Han dynasty, but everything serves the plot!

Fifteen Years of Truce
A black-lotus hostage princess who has forgotten her past * a tight-lipped, softhearted, laid-back prince
Ever since Fushu could remember, she and her wet nurse had depended on each other among the ruins of Hong City. Then a great army arrived, and somehow mistook her for the general's legitimate daughter.
Only then did Fushu learn that one of the enemy's conditions for peace after the Battle of Hong City fifteen years ago had been that the general's daughter remain behind as a hostage in this desolate city.
But in Fushu's memories, that hostage princess had died long ago.
Dare not speak the truth, Fushu arrived in the imperial capital, where she was granted the status and rewards due a legitimate daughter and enrolled in the Imperial Academy. Silks and finery surrounded her at every turn, astonishing everyone.
Fushu had no desire to draw attention. She only wanted a chance to escape, but the more time passed, the stranger things seemed.
How strange. Why does Madam Li look at me with ever-increasing affection?
How strange. How did I suddenly end up with a clingy little brother?
How strange. Someone discovered who I really am, yet helped keep it secret?
After enjoying half a month of carefree days, Fushu decided to sneak away. After all, being exposed would cost her life.
She fled to a farmhouse inn, where the Second Prince, Hong Huiwan, the person she got along with worst in the palace, suddenly appeared. Leaning against the doorframe, he asked lazily,
"Little Fushu, trying to run away?"
"You people dragged me here against my will!"
Though Fushu knew she was in the wrong, she dropped her bundle in a huff. "Take me away! I give up..."
"I'm not here to take you back. I'm here to join you."
Hong Huiwan's eyes brimmed with amusement. He saw right through her. "Take me with you to visit Hong City..."
Later, Li Fushu realized something was wrong.
Why couldn't she get rid of Hong Huiwan?
I'm working hard on the chapters. I'll let you know in advance if anything comes up. Please add this to your collection!

The little author has been pre-accepted (looking for collection): The advance collection of the column "Fifteen Years of Peace" is a story fifteen years after the ending timeline of Yanyundu. It is a brand-new protagonist, but there will be guest appearances and involvement in past stories, especially Xia Houjing~ If you like it, you can collect it!
Wow wow wow, I love General Yu Zhi's character, and he's so cute.
Alas, sometimes the life trajectory will be different if you choose different choices. After weighing the pros and cons, there may not be no regrets.
It is recommended to read more, it is suitable to watch this kind of thing in cold weather (manual dog head)
