Jiang Jiayu, an unemployed office worker who'll do anything for a paycheck, accepts a commission from a mysterious entertainment mogul to go undercover beside popular male star Gu Hongyu. Her mission is to dig up dirt on Gu Hongyu and ruin his career.
Jiang Jiayu plans to stay undercover for a long time, but Gu Hongyu sees through her on her very first day at work. He even asks her, "What are you after by getting close to me?"
Faced with Gu Hongyu's suspicions, Jiang Jiayu comes clean: "...Money."
Gu Hongyu adjusts his sunglasses. "I don't believe you."
But then he makes a deal with Jiang Jiayu: Ten percent of my income is your fee.
To earn that fee, Jiang Jiayu masters all kinds of skills by working for Gu Hongyu

Jiang Jiayu changes careers and becomes a screenwriter.
"Jiang Jiayu, come watch a movie with me."
Jiang Jiayu overcomes her discomfort to watch a boring horror movie starring Gu Hongyu.
"Jiang Jiayu, don't ever forget that I'm the boss!"
Jiang Jiayu finally loses her temper and has a huge fight with Gu Hongyu, only to somehow accept his confession afterward.
Was the undercover agent really won over by his handsome looks?
In the blink of an eye, Jiang Jiayu's undercover identity is exposed, leaving her unemployed and heartbroken.
Gu Hongyu still remembers their deal, "Ten percent of my income is your fee," and keeps his promise by transferring a six-figure sum to Jiang Jiayu.
Jiang Jiayu stares at him in confusion. Are you trying to charge me with extortion now?
Gu Hongyu explains, "Your pay from the past few days, plus payment for future scripts."
Jiang Jiayu says matter-of-factly, "I've already quit your studio, so I'm afraid I can't write your future scripts."
But Gu Hongyu asks, "Who said you could quit?"
