The soldiers outside pushed the door open and barged in.
With no chance to escape, Wei Xiyan thought, This is it. There are too many of them. I'm going to be arrested.
The soldiers advanced with their weapons drawn. Wei Xiyan furrowed her brow, searching for a way out.
To her surprise, Mu Kan suddenly stood up and looked up, stepping in front of her as he told the soldiers, "She's my wife. Whatever she's done, I'll take responsibility for it."
