Falling into a Klein Blue Sea

*Friends-with-benefits to lovers / Pride and Prejudice / rivals in love

The night before Yu Nian's wedding, news broke that her fiance had cheated on her.

All the rebelliousness she'd buried beneath twenty-four years of living by the rules burst out at once.

Without telling anyone, she went alone to Australia's Whitsunday Islands.

To her surprise, her ex-fiance's uncle, Wen Tingyan, the ever-arrogant, aloof, and dignified head of the Wen family, pursued her all the way to Australia.

The man was refined and courteous, always mindful of his manners. "Yu Nian, I apologize on behalf of the Wen family."

-

Yu Nian found it amusing. She took a drag from the cigarette between his fingers, smoke curling between her red lips. "He cheated. Wasn't that your doing all along?"

Hearing this, Wen Tingyan raised an eyebrow, unable to hide his smile. His reply was frank and unruffled. "Xiao Nian, you're too clever. That makes things difficult for me."

Yu Nian's eyes curved slightly. Barefoot, she walked across the soft white sand and draped her pale wrist over the man's broad shoulder. She blew smoke from her red lips toward him, alluring and seductive. "Didn't you come to apologize? What else were you planning to do?"

-Their story began on a white-sand beach with betrayal, revenge, and a casual fling. Later, they willingly bound themselves to an unwavering love, wrapped in ten miles of wedding finery.
