Archaeology of Earth

In the year 3025, the remains of an ancient human were unearthed at an archaeological site on Earth.

The body was perfectly preserved, lifelike, with supple, radiant skin and a fresh expression, as if it were merely asleep. On the way to the research institute, an even stranger event occurred: the ancient human came back to life.

1. Xia Wang never expected to die and come back to life a thousand years later, much less become a specially appointed expert in Earth's archaeology for future humans, leading a team of scholars in exploring human ruins from a millennium ago.

Xia Wang led a team of elite archaeologists into a building.

One team member offered a rigorous professional analysis: "Based on the furnishings, this appears to be a site for important sacrificial rites. That platform is an altar, the cabinets behind it hold mysterious ritual objects, and this iron rod is probably a torture device."

Xia Wang pulled over a bar stool and plopped down on it. "That's a bar counter. The cabinet is full of alcohol, and that metal pole is for dancing. This is a bar, an entertainment venue."

There were plenty more archaeological mysteries like this. A team member picked up a smooth, porous stone and made a bold guess: "This looks a lot like the dried body of a Tai Sui described in ancient books. They say soaking it in water can improve your health."

Xia Wang hurried to stop him. "Don't soak it! That's a pumice stone for scrubbing your feet!"

2. Xia Wang is quite satisfied with life after coming back to life. He earns a generous salary, lives in a luxurious mansion, and has an easy job where he's admired and respected.

There's only one thing he doesn't like: the worker-bee in him has awakened, and he's fed up with his terrible boss.

He looks like a decent man, but he's a total bastard who takes every opportunity to make Xia Wang work overtime.

One day, just as Xia Wang is about to clock out, his boss intercepts him and drags him to an archaeological site called [Peachy Midnight].

Pointing to a cat-ear headband and a fox tail in a cabinet, the boss asks, "What were these used for in ancient times?"

Xia Wang's heart races and his face flushes. Keeping his eyes lowered, he brushes it off. "They're decorative accessories."

The bastard boss won't let it go. "Accessories? Put them on. Let me see."
