Huimei lost her childhood memories in a sudden car accident. She forgot some very important things, including a childhood promise and the person she had made it to. She only vaguely remembered that she had a childhood friend.
Her parents told Meihui some things about the promise, but not who had made it with her. Because of this, she worked harder than anyone in her field of study. She never became the person people said she would, and, on her parents' recommendation, she went to work at TPC ahead of schedule.
It was only when Huimei saw Ultraman Tiga that she remembered how much of her past she had forgotten. After leaving the hospital, she returned to her place and gathered her things. She should have given them to Daigu right then, but work made her forget once more.
When they were children, they promised to stay together, join TPC together, and protect each other.
The Sakurai family also secretly made a promise to Daigu: when he was capable, they would entrust Huimei to him completely. In other words, Daigu had a fiancée.
