I Woke Up to Find That My Childhood Friend and Archrival and I Had Swapped Bodies

[The entire story needs major revisions; update schedule undecided]

Jiang Yu, a top student at the best high school in the province and a future candidate for Tsinghua or Peking University, excels in both academics and character. In everyone's eyes, she's the perfect example of someone else's child.

Her life was practically perfect.

Until she woke up one morning and found that she had switched bodies with her sworn rival, Zheng Sinan!

Zheng Sinan, her childhood friend whom she would rather not acknowledge.

A shameless, easygoing slacker with no ambition and terrible grades.

His greatest hobby is provoking her, then laughing out loud when she gets mad.

A body swap?

Jiang Yu's vision went dark as she foresaw the beginning of a disaster.

-

Just as Jiang Yu had imagined,

their lives descended into chaos after they switched bodies.

Pop quiz.

Zheng Sinan, the slacker: Teacher, I accidentally ate my test paper.

Jiang Yu: ??

Basketball game.

Jiang Yu, the rookie: If I pass the ball, or rather, pass the blame, fast enough, nobody will notice I can't play basketball!

Zheng Sinan: ??

Dinner.

Zheng Sinan, who absolutely refuses to touch sweets, is left speechless by the sweetness of Jiang Yu's favorite sweet-and-sour ribs.

Jiang Yu, who can't handle spicy food at all, is left questioning her life after eating the Hunan cuisine Zheng Sinan ordered.

And not to mention...

How are they supposed to shower after switching bodies?!

Jiang Yu and Zheng Sinan: Switch us back! Right now, this instant!

To put an end to this farce, the two had no choice but to lay down the law and set all sorts of rules.

But as time went by, the childhood friends began to discover sides of each other they had never seen before.

Jiang Yu: ...Maybe he's not that annoying after all?

Until

One school day, they hadn't switched bodies.

During a break, a girl holding an envelope stopped Jiang Yu.

"J-Jiang Yu."

"I used to think you were aloof and unapproachable, but that was just my prejudice. After what you said to me yesterday, I realized you're so, so gentle and so, so wonderful. Jiang Yu, I like you!"

Jiang Yu: ??

Yesterday?

Hadn't she switched bodies with Zheng Sinan yesterday?

She looked at the girl confessing to her, blushing with embarrassment.

Then she looked at her best friend beside her, trying to stifle her laughter behind a hand.

Her stiff gaze shifted to Zheng Sinan in the back row, laughing and chatting with someone, completely carefree.

She decided to take back what she'd thought before.

Zheng Sinan really was the most annoying pest in the world!
