Synopsis
Hu Ling only wanted to steal an egg to eat, so he could survive the thousand-year tribulation that awaited him as a half-demon.
No one expected a little creature with golden horns to crawl out of the stolen snake egg.
The little one was an expert at causing trouble and begging for attention. On the second day after hatching, he got Hu Ling into a whole heap of trouble on Jin Gu Mountain, leaving Hu Ling no choice but to flee with his troublesome little tagalong.
"There is a beast with deer antlers, a goat's head, and wolf hooves. When it was still an egg, its shell glimmered with blue light. What do you think this beast is?"
"If you have already reached your own conclusion, why ask me?" The old Celestial Master sighed softly.
Could this troublesome little one really be a qilin?!
Now that you know I have to take the blood from your heart, why haven't you run away? Why come right to me of your own accord?
"There is only one weakness on a qilin's body, Brother. Make sure you remember it."
He struck a deal with Kunlun, personally drugging the unconscious little one and handing him over to the old qilin of Kunlun Mountain. In return, he received three drops of the old qilin's blood, and from then on, his cultivation advanced by leaps and bounds.
He had one small request: make the little one drink the Forgetting Love Wine.
Those ordinary little moments were neither painful nor significant. As long as he could remember them in this world and bring them out to recall when he was sad, that would be enough.
Thinking that everything had finally settled, he never imagined that more than ten years later, a qilin divine beast would arrive in Zhongzhou to guard the region.
"...Immortal Lord, what do you mean by this?"
"What do I mean?" Qi Shuangye's phoenix eyes, curved like a crescent moon, glinted with excitement.
"Naturally, I mean that I want to spend a night of passion with you, Brother, and share a wedding chamber."
A few things to know before reading:
1. Younger gong
2. A clingy, tearful gong x a cool, aloof, beautiful and tragic shou
This was the first story I ever wrote. The whole novel is already finished. I deleted my old account, so I figured I might as well repost it and plant a tree while making it look nicer~ (It was my first story, so the writing and other aspects are still lacking. Read at your own risk!!!!)
Also, please check out my upcoming stories. Pretty please, give this poor author a chance
Coming Soon 1: "After Getting a Civil Service Job in the Underworld, I Came Back to Life"
Two years after dying, Liu Anmu finally made it through all the hardships and landed a civil service job in the Underworld.
With a carefree life of sipping wine and enjoying the breeze seemingly within reach, Liu Anmu felt so giddy he could barely walk straight.
But when the Underworld audited its accounts one day, they discovered that his allotted lifespan had not yet run out when he died. It turned out an Impermanence had mistakenly collected his soul after drinking too much.
The Underworld rushed out an announcement that night: "He was a temporary worker and has been dismissed."
Liu Anmu: "..." Damn! He knew there had to be a catch. How else could treating someone's athlete's foot have ended up killing them? (= =)
After the incident, Judge Cui, representing the Underworld's leadership, visited the victim to offer condolences. Liu Anmu grabbed Judge Cui's hand and cried his eyes out in front of the cameras from the Ghost People's Daily. "Chief, I don't care about any of that. But I worked so hard to pass the civil service exam. You can't just take my position away, can you?"
Judge Cui replied warmly, "Rest assured, the Underworld will protect the rights and interests of every victim in practice. It isn't easy for young people to pass the civil service exam. The higher-ups have already discussed your situation. First, we'll definitely keep your position for you. They've specially reassigned you and approved your request to start earning merit in advance, so you can reincarnate sooner after you die."
So the very next day, Liu Anmu showed up at the Yin-Yang Bureau with his bedding in tow.
Liu Anmu had been dead for two years, and his body had long since been cremated. The Yin-Yang Bureau had no choice but to find him a recently deceased body to inhabit and bring him back to life.
Liu Anmu was reborn in the body of a top forensic science student. By day, he was his professor's favorite student; by night, he was a model employee of the Underworld.
Hoping to save up a little nest egg for his future wife in the Underworld, Liu Anmu returned to his old line of work and joined the Ghost Officers' Division of the Yin-Yang Bureau, where he captured vengeful ghosts, drove corpses, and controlled spirits. Meanwhile, his career in the living world was flourishing. Since he could see ghosts, he quickly became a forensic consultant for the criminal investigation squad under his professor's guidance. After graduation, a secure job would be as good as guaranteed.
While Liu Anmu was working around the clock, he unexpectedly learned from a phone call from home that his parents had once arranged a ghost marriage for the original owner of his body.
Though he was utterly unwilling, Liu Anmu had no choice but to take the betrothal token from back then and set off to visit the bride's family to formally offer the engagement gifts.
When he reached the address on the marriage contract, Liu Anmu was completely dumbfounded. The bride's family was incredibly wealthy. They lived in a traditional courtyard house and ran an antique shop with three rooms across the front and three more inside. There was even a century-old tree with lush, spreading branches in the courtyard.
"Anmu Liu?" A gentle voice, smooth as jade, came from behind him.
Liu Anmu turned at the sound and froze. So there really were people in this world who looked even more beautiful than paintings.
The Fu family had been established in the capital for a hundred years, with unfathomable influence and no rivals in sight.
Yet Fu Xuan Yin, the true head of the Fu family, held no official position. Instead, he ran an obscure antique shop in Tonggu Alley.
But as Liu Anmu got to know him better, he discovered that this man, the real power behind the Fu family conglomerate, was not human at all!
The tangled red thread between them, impossible to cut or unravel, was also the work of the one who had given all three realms a headache, a thousand-year-old obsession he could never let go of.
"Daoist Liu, do you know how I spent the last thousand years?"
A century-old banyan tree spirit, a gentle gong and a thousand-year-old powerhouse x a Taoist priest reborn, a sunny shou with a knack for controlling ghosts
Coming Soon 2: "The Infinite-Flow Boss Gets a Second Career in Showbiz"
It's gone bust, it's gone bust! The infinite-flow instance has gone bust
The big boss Shan Zi brought a group of strange infinite-flow NPCs with him to the human world, rebuilt after the apocalypse. To feed his underlings, who couldn't get normal jobs because of their bizarre appearances, Shan Zi was forced to put his stunning face to work and signed with the top entertainment agency.
On the first day of the variety show, the production team's bus pulled up to the quarantine zone of the old world. Sand blew through piles of bones, leaving behind only desolation and deathly silence.
Comments: "The new guy looks like he can't protect himself at all. Did the agency trick him into coming?"
Comments: "Poor guy. Does he even know what this show is about? (lights a candle)..."
Shan Zi, puzzled: "...My old line of work?"
And so, this episode of the variety show Doomsday Challenge featured an exceptionally bizarre scene
The huge purple tentacles of a mutated octopus specter were almost indistinguishable from the building around it. Dozens of blood-red eyes opened at once, silently watching the unwelcome intruder who had entered its territory.
Yet a few hours later, the slender young man stood atop the building known as the Grade A haunted house, the wind carrying the scent of blood as it lifted the hair at his temples.
Shan Zi pinned the fully transformed Grade A specter beneath his feet and asked, his expression bold and unrestrained, "Are you giving up?"
Comments: "..."
The ratings for Doomsday Challenge shot straight to the top of its time slot. Everyone knew the variety show Apocalypse of the Old World had introduced a new face who was both beautiful and tough.
Just as Shan Zi's schedule filled up with one appearance after another, and he moved into a huge mansion with his group of infinite-flow NPCs, he finally met the legendary Mr. H, the mysterious figure behind the Huali Group.
The man lounged in a leather executive chair, his powerful physique outlined beneath a well-tailored black suit.
Their gazes clashed fiercely in midair. A casual smile tugged at the man's lips. "Long time no see, Lord of the Gods."
Shan Zi: "..." (tiny cat face crumpling.jpg)
The NPCs from the infinite-flow world cowered in Shan Zi's shadow, trembling
Was this the man who had single-handedly wrecked the infinite-flow world created by the Lord of the Gods? How terrifying, how terrifying...
Theme: Fate never lets down anyone who works hard.

I feel like Guo Jinjin guessed something.
Me too. After I got the air fryer back, I took it apart and looked at it. It's still in the box 😂
?? I'm somewhat looking forward to the copywriting of Zhong Si Ming and the Little Emperor ~ I haven't read enough of this one.
So who is this tortoise playing with (and even hides it deliberately)?
"The shirt is taken over" is a big bug for the author~
"Yu" gives the author a big worm~ especially
"Bo" is a big thorn in the side of the author~
Isn't it your own fault that he is so reticent? Don't communicate when something happens, intervene forcefully, and act like you're doing your best when things go wrong.
Huang is not a big injustice, he is what he should be
I've heard this song, it's very catchy
