[Western Crossover] Why Does My Dad Look Like a Ghost?

When I'm stuck on the story next door, I'll update this one now and then. I'll write when I have inspiration and leave it alone when I don't.

This is how my mom described my dad:

"Your father is a bastard."

"I should have known. That man watched his parents get shot dead by their enemies, and he was diagnosed with mental problems when he was eight."

"He wasn't ashamed of it. He was proud! He thought that losing his capacity for fear and empathy meant life had no meaning, so he made playing hero and chasing pleasure his life's hobbies."

"He kept his adopted son locked in the house like a pet, letting the child out only when he needed him for a murder. In the end, he even got the boy killed."

"And that poor child never knew, right up until he died, that everything he went through was because that man wanted to imitate another man who had changed his life!"

"Even I was just an illusion in his eyes. He only wanted to turn me into his own Catwoman."

Me: Yikes, but Catwoman doesn't deserve this.

Then, the day I finally met my dad, I was so shocked I said:

Mom, after hearing you say so much about how ugly my dad was on the inside, I thought he must have been so breathtakingly handsome on the outside that he won your heart.

So why the hell does he look like some kind of cyber ghost?!

1. The dad in the blurb isn't Batman, and he isn't any version of Bruce Wayne.

2. Some obscure DC characters will appear. Their identities will be noted in the illustrations, but aside from the protagonist, there will be very few original characters.

3. The CP is Little Red again, but this time the protagonist is gay.

4. There will be lots of dark humor and fake CP pairings, but they'll mostly be jokes. They won't actually happen.

Theme: Does my mom have some kind of eating disorder? She must have, to fall for my dad and even have a relationship with him. What on earth did she see in him?
