For three nights in a row, Yao Yan woke from the same dream and stayed awake until dawn. In silence, she opened her computer's search bar and typed, "Yinjiang woman missing." A photo of the woman from her dream appeared. A staunch believer in Marxism-Leninism, Yao Yan felt as if the sky had fallen. From then on, her life spiraled into a bizarre cycle: one case ended, and another began. When would it all end?
Police Station
Yao Yan: Officer, I have a lead on Zhang Yan's disappearance.
Police Officer: What? Go on.
Yao Yan: She was killed by the river, and so on.
The officer's eyes sharpened: How do you know that?
Yao Yan came clean: Zhang Yan told me in a dream.
Police Officer: !!! You don't take me for an idiot, do you?
Yao Yan: It's true, officer. Look at my dark circles. It's been three days!! She keeps appearing in my dreams and won't let me sleep.
Police Officer: ??? Is this woman mentally ill?
Things were going further and further beyond anything Yao Yan had imagined.
Theme: Justice will ultimately triumph over evil.
