Country S and the Underground City face each other across the sea. Country S is divided between two parties. Feng Qian, the Underground City's executive director, makes a deal with the Lan family, the gong's family. Each side gets what it wants. Feng Qian wants Lan Yi. Everyone knows Feng Qian treats Lan Yi as a stand-in for Yan Chong, including everyone in the Lan family, but for the sake of their interests and strategy, no one tells Lan Yi.
When the truth comes out, Lan Yi captures Feng Qian and takes him back.
