In the eyes of the Slytherin students, Canopus, heir to the Black family, had pure blood, a sharp mind, great strength, a strong will, ambition, and a high regard for honor. Every part of her seemed made for Slytherin standards. She was the very definition of a Slytherin.
But could someone please explain why such a textbook Slytherin had formed such a deep bond with a Muggle-born Gryffindor?
First year, Slytherin common room. Pansy stopped Kano as she headed out with a book in hand.
"You're going to the library to find Hermione Granger again?"
"Pansy, I'm going to the library to read. Of course, you can come along if you want."
Second year, by the stone wall. Draco stopped Kano, who had ignored him for days.
"Are you angry because I called Granger a Mudblood?"
"Draco, do I need to remind you again that Hermione outscored you in every subject last year?"
Third year, Slytherin dormitory. Millicent set down her packed bags and went over to Kano.
"Daphne asked me to find out if you're going to Hogsmeade with Granger again later."
"Hermione isn't familiar with Hogsmeade, after all."
Fourth year, library. Avia looked at the puzzled Kano, took her hand, and said firmly,
"Kano, I support you and Hermione."
"Avia, what strange Muggle story did you read in Muggle Studies this time?"
Kano thought the Slytherin common room was dark and damp, so there was nothing wrong with choosing to go to the library. She didn't like so-called "pure-blood supremacy," so there was nothing wrong with getting angry when she heard the word "Mudblood." She and Hermione were friends, and Hermione didn't know Hogsmeade well, so there was nothing wrong with showing her around.
But everyone took these things as proof that she and Hermione were unusually close. Kano didn't want to deny it. She and Hermione were friends, and it was perfectly normal for friends to be close, wasn't it? And as for Hermione being a Gryffindor, no one said Slytherins couldn't be friends with Gryffindors, did they? Slytherin and Gryffindor had been friends once, after all.
Fifth year, Kano took the hand of a red-faced Hermione, facing the Slytherins, who looked shocked but also seemed to think it was only natural.
"As you wish, Hermione and I are together."

Unless house elves have their own territory, liberation is simply nonsense. Each new generation of elves will be locked into the same family as the previous generation. Unless all the wizarding families are dead, no one alive will let the elf find a job freely. They know too many secrets, and Hermione's emmm behavior has an arrogance that looks down upon species that she may not realize. Even if Flash Kreacher has a bad attitude towards her, she does not fight back verbally or physically, just like Hermione Not treating house elves as a species of equal status is a bit like charity from a superior. It's hard to describe. Anyway, Hermione's "start-up" did not go smoothly at the beginning. She simply missed the key point. Unless the elves can be united to have autonomy and the contract is renegotiated with wizards, so that the elves have reasonable rights to choose to leave the wizard family, and the wizard can rest assured that the secret will not be revealed, otherwise, all efforts to pursue good treatment, wages and holidays will be superficial and false.
