Marrying the Female Lead's White Moonlight in the Seventies

Su Tao was reborn at eighteen, facing a choice between going to the countryside or getting married.

In her previous life, her stepmother and cousin had talked her into turning down a marriage prospect who was old and ugly. Stubbornly, she went to the countryside instead, where she wasted away in the mountains until she was in her thirties. She never married or had children, and died on a night of torrential rain.

Only then did she learn that she was merely a cannon-fodder character in a period novel. As a named supporting character who was close to the heroine, her cousin, she existed to serve as a foil. The more miserable her life was, the happier the heroine's life became.

This time, she neither agreed to a matchmaker's meeting nor planned to go to the countryside. She secretly left home to find the only person who had ever treated her well, her aunt by marriage, and planned to get engaged to the man her aunt introduced.

He was stationed with a military unit in the northwest, and she'd heard conditions there were harsh.

Su Tao didn't care in the slightest. She just wanted to stay far away from the heroine and avoid crossing her until she was strong enough to stand on her own.

Once she arrived, Su Tao discovered that the man her aunt had introduced was the heroine's unrequited first love, the one who had always remained in her heart?! Su Tao immediately decided: she was absolutely going to marry him!
