Reunited with My Ex After Appearing on a Dating Show with a Top-Tier Star

Ji Zhiye is a C-list idol plagued by scandals, but his face is so beautiful that even his haters have never insulted it, even when they were at their most vicious.

To make way for a newcomer, his company bundles him off to a dating reality show, determined to squeeze out the last of his popularity.

Shen Que is an undisputed top-tier star. He debuted in a boy band, excelling at both singing and dancing, then moved into acting and continued to win award after award. In all his years in the industry, he has never had so much as a hint of a dating scandal.

When the dating show announced its cast, Shen Que's name appeared among the regular guests, and it immediately dominated the trending searches.

Ji Zhiye saw the trending topic too, but felt nothing. If anything, he wanted to laugh.

When you're at your lowest, you don't always hit rock bottom and bounce back. Sometimes something even worse happens.

Like going on a dating show with an ex-boyfriend you didn't exactly part ways with on good terms.

Ji Zhiye: ...I can't believe this is making me laugh with anger.

A good ex should pretend not to know you. That way, everyone's happy.

But Shen Que doesn't play along.

He starts by fussing over Ji Zhiye, leaving him completely at a loss.

Ji Zhiye doesn't give Shen Que an ounce of face and treats him coldly. This show is just a stepping stone for other people anyway, so why shouldn't he be himself?

Ji Zhiye: He's just an ex. Don't come near me!

Shen Que: I could become your current boyfriend, darling!

Ji Zhiye: ...Pah!

Shen Que was young and hotheaded back then, and didn't know how to swallow his pride for love. Now, in his thirties, he's finally seen his own heart clearly.

A C-list nobody with a gorgeous face who doesn't realize how seductive he is, Ji Zhiye, X the clingy top-tier star, Shen Que

Theme: Keep your heart turned toward the sun, and everything will work out.
