(Third-person narration)
1. My best friend and I transmigrated into a book together. She became the female lead, while I became the vicious supporting female character.
I was indignant. "We both transmigrated, so why am I the vicious, short-lived supporting character?!"
My best friend was indignant too. As she pounded my legs for me, she complained, "Why did you transmigrate into a rich and powerful young lady, while I became a servant who has to wait on people?!"
My best friend became the beautiful, strong, and tragic heroine who rises from servant to empress, slapping everyone in the face along the way.
And I became the vicious supporting character whose job is to trip her up.
I'm supposed to bully her when she's down, then sow misunderstandings when she and the male lead fall in love, making them suffer through a torturous romance. In the end, the male lead ascends the throne, she becomes empress, and I, the vicious supporting character, get dragged off to be executed.
My best friend went, "Wahhh..." because things were so awful for her right now. She couldn't get enough to eat or wear warm clothes, and anyone could pick on her whenever they liked.
I went, "Wahhh..." too, because I'm going to be beheaded in two years.
2. I transferred my best friend to work by my side. I had just given her a handful of sunflower seeds when we were both struck by lightning at the same time.
The System warned us not to act out of character, or we'd be struck by lightning.
As the vicious supporting character, I can't show the female lead any kindness. I can only torment her, body and soul.
So I glared at my best friend and yelled, "You insolent servant! Copy the Three Hundred Tang Poems a hundred times. If you don't finish, I'll make you crack these five pounds of sunflower seeds!"
My best friend picked up the jar of sunflower seeds and walked off with it. "Yes, miss. I'll accept my punishment." She didn't touch her brush once.
3. One day, a man kidnapped me. I offered him all the jewelry I was wearing. "If you're after money, you can take all of this. If you're after my virtue... I'm so ugly, you probably couldn't bring yourself to do it."
The man looked at my face with an indescribable expression and took the sword away from my neck. "You're right. You're so ugly, I really couldn't bring myself to do it."
He not only took my money, he also called me ugly.
Once the bandit had gone far away, I muttered, "Bastard, son of a bitch. Don't let me see you again!"
I took out the little mirror I always carried and looked at my face. Then I shrieked, "Mom! There's a ghost here!"
It turned out I'd cried my makeup off in fright.
Never mind not having a phone or electricity. Even the damn makeup isn't waterproof.
I can't live in this ancient world!
4. According to the plot, the female lead and the supporting female character both fall in love with the male lead. My best friend and I looked at the fourteen-year-old boy in front of us and shoved each other back and forth. "You can have him..." "No, you take him..."
Help! Someone here likes a minor. Arrest her!
I don't want the male lead, but I do want to make a move on the regent by his side.
The regent may be impossibly handsome, but he's in poor health and spends all day in a wheelchair. A frail man like that is right for me. I'm afraid I couldn't handle someone too strong.
I'd taken only three steps toward the regent when the System warned me that I was acting out of character. The next thing I knew, I was struck by lightning.
My body went limp from the shock, and I was about to fall into the regent's arms. But he pushed his wheelchair three steps back, and I fell at his feet instead.
He may have thought I was blocking his way. He nudged me aside with his foot, then wheeled away.
My best friend said a jerk like that wasn't worth wanting.
I refused to accept that. I insisted on making this jerk fall in love with me.
My best friend shouted, "Officer! Someone here likes a minor. Arrest him!"
Only then did I remember that my best friend was fifteen, I was sixteen, and the regent was only nineteen.
2. A silly, sweet comedy set in an alternate history, with some very modern language.
Theme: May we join hands to protect this world.
