I recently found a job, so I'm a little busy. Updates will be irregular.
Huang Zhao was an utterly unremarkable princess. Her biggest worry all year was getting a bad exam score. She never expected to face a moment when the sky came crashing down.
In every sense of the phrase, the sky was falling.
During the once-in-a-decade sacrificial ceremony, everyone thought there would be no divine revelation this year, since the heavens had shown no signs. Then meteors began to fall in response.
But the meteors kept coming, and heavenly fire followed.
Before the eyes of countless people, the sky of the Metal Realm split open in several places.
After the people of the Metal Realm struggled to patch up the sky as best they could, little Zhao was honored with the title of Metal Walker. She set out for the Earth Realm to find the Chosen One and ask them to help mend the sky.
But she nearly never made it back.
Along the way, she truly learned what it means when they say:
"When Heaven is about to entrust someone with a great task, it first..."
"Hey, Metal Walker over there, forget all that 'Heaven is about to entrust you' stuff. Your grilled fish is about to fall into the fire."
"?! Quick, quick, save my fish! I haven't eaten in two days!"
P.S. A little ensemble cast, plot-driven. The official pairing appears in the Earth Realm: a slow-witted martial arts fanatic girl and a scheming, nurturing guy.
The first part of Chapter One is in first person. Everything after that is in third person.
Many original settings. Not a traditional ancient setting, and there will be settings from other eras as well.
Synopsis created on December 12, 2024.
As of May 2026, the outline, plot, characters, and setting are all complete. This story will not be abandoned, but updates will not be daily. Thank you for reading.
