He's Just a Stand-In

One day, Luo Xingsu's husband died on his way home from work.

When she saw the news broadcast on the Star Net, her whole body went limp.

Later, when the interstellar government notified her to identify his body, Luo Xingsu seemed to accept the fact calmly. But afterward, she shut herself in her room, neither eating nor drinking, and watched footage of her memories with her husband over and over.

Alone, she forced herself through the arrangements for Wangchao's funeral.

Later, Luo Xingsu remembered an advertisement she'd seen before. She used most of the compensation money to buy the latest android butler, then modified him herself to look like her late husband.

It was all right. Even if he was only a substitute, that was fine. Didn't her name perfectly reflect her personality? Doing whatever she pleased.

She'd been given that name at the orphanage because of her eccentric nature.

And so this butler, who could take both crocodile and human form, became a stand-in for Luo Xingsu's beloved, staying by the mentally ill Xingsu's side for the rest of her life.

Warnings: 1. The heroine really does have a mental illness, which becomes severe after her husband's death.

2. This story has a bad ending. One of the leads will disappear or die (keeping the details secret for now).
