[My next story will be "Oh No! I've Been Found Out as a Hater!", about a bickering couple. The blurb is at the very bottom~ If you're interested, you can add it to your collection!]
The blurb is right below~
Blurb:
1.
Cheng Qinghuai, the current head of the Shengsheng Group, a commercial giant in Shanghai, was always praised as a gentleman, warm and refined, with impeccable manners.
The first time Liang Zhi met him was at a dinner. She followed her boyfriend as he pushed open the private room door.
The man seated at the head of the table held a cigarette between his fingers and glanced over lazily. His voice reached Liang Zhi through the crowd:
"A gentleman doesn't take what someone else loves. I'm always happy to make other people happy. I don't want what belongs to someone else."
His words drew laughter from the people at the table. Liang Zhi looked up and met his flirtatious, peach-blossom eyes.
Cheng Qinghuai glanced at the hands the couple were holding and asked her boyfriend, who was standing beside him:
"Is this the girlfriend you keep talking about?"
Her boyfriend raised his glass and said yes.
He smiled, his expression dark and unreadable, and complimented her: "She's pretty."
2.
When the two attended the same event again, they were openly affectionate, and the flirtatious air around them made it seem as if they were the ones meant for each other.
At a small gathering after dinner, someone asked Cheng Qinghuai what his relationship with Liang Zhi was.
Cheng Qinghuai lowered his eyes and smiled, unable to conceal his excitement. "Just what you see."
"When we get married, remember to come celebrate with us."
He had no idea that Liang Zhi had stopped in the doorway. Then she turned and left without a second thought.
3.
Liang Zhi would never agree to marry Cheng Qinghuai, even when he chased after her, grabbed her hand, and asked why.
The almond-shaped eyes he loved so dearly seemed to freeze over in the depths of winter.
Liang Zhi didn't pull her hand away. She only asked one question: "Mr. Cheng, what exactly are we to each other?"
Only then did Cheng Qinghuai realize that, from beginning to end, he had never been given a proper place in their relationship.
A gentleman helps others achieve their wishes, but Cheng Qinghuai had never been a gentleman.
The powerful one bows his head, while the one in the weaker position holds the reins.
Cheng Qinghuai did things he had never done in his life, all in the hope of earning a glance from the woman he loved.
Reading Guide:
A little chasing-her-back groveling. Cheng has only a few minor issues, and Zhizhi really is beautiful.
Three-year age gap.
Coming Soon: "Oh No! I've Been Found Out as a Hater!"
A story about a bickering couple!
1. Jiang Shiwu first learned from Zhou Xubai that hate lasts longer than love.
In her eyes, Zhou Xubai had nothing going for him except his face and his lovely voice. Everything about him gave off an aura she hated.
Years ago, he burst onto the survival-show scene and stole the debut spot from Jiang Shiwu's one pick. On the glittering night of the debut, the Chinese entertainment world gained another cog in the machine, and Zhou Xubai gained a "loyal" hater who would never leave him.
Later, all the profile pictures on Zhou Xubai's official accounts turned black, and every project he'd been linked to was recast in the blink of an eye. Jiang Shiwu hadn't even had time to celebrate when she saw him outside her own home.
It was thirty-five degrees Celsius. He was dressed in black from head to toe, a baseball cap covering most of his face, and he was wearing a mask.
Only his lean, well-defined forearms showed skin so pale it seemed never to see the sun.
Jiang Shiwu, who had been telling her friend about the situation, suddenly turned to look at her "new neighbor". The tall, slender figure dragging a suitcase looked like a stray dog.
She admitted it: she was thrilled.
When her conscience returned, she felt a little sorry for him.
2. The day Zhou Xubai left Beijing for this small northern city was the hottest day in forty years.
He was dressed for the road, but ran into a young woman outside his newly rented home.
Her eyes were bright, and she stared at him without looking away.
The only problem was that she had a sharp tongue.
But she must be his fan.
This fan was amazing. She could turn up anywhere around him, as if she had eyes everywhere.
She stood outside the auto repair shop where he worked, holding milk tea. They ran into each other at a barbecue stall two intersections from home. She even managed to stumble right into his arms one morning when he was on his way to work.
What impressive tactics.
Later, he let himself into her home. While she was cutting fruit, he casually flipped through the notebook she'd left nearby.
On the last page was a line of neat handwriting:
[There are three great regrets in life:
First, that an ugly, useless loser like Zhou Xubai got to make his glamorous debut!
Second, that the moon hangs too high in the sky.
Third, that I can't pull the moon into my arms.]
Her "first regret" had been pressed so deeply into the paper it seemed she wanted to carve the words into Zhou Xubai himself.
3. Zhou Xubai thought the neighbor next door was his fan, but she turned out to be his hater.
Jiang Shiwu thought Zhou Xubai had become a miserable stray dog, only for him to pin her to the bed and bare his fangs.
He covered her beautiful eyes and whispered in her ear, "Hate is just another word for love, right, baby? Be good and say you love me."
Reading Guide:
1. The heroine isn't an especially vicious hater. She's fluffy and is good at making things up.
2. The hero does not leave the entertainment industry.
