A once-in-a-century thunderstorm in New York brings a Spider-Woman to Brooklyn, Earth-42.
As a girl in a white hood plummets in panic from a rift above the Williamsburg Bank Building, the Prowler takes his hand off the lightning rod and pretends he saw nothing.
A web strand catches the Prowler as he sneaks away in silence.
Gwen hangs upside down from the web she spun, the eye lenses on her mask widening dramatically. "Miles?"
"What are you doing here?"
Gwen narrows her eyes. "You know who I am?"
The Prowler reaches out and snaps the web strand. "I hate you."
In a universe without a Spider-Man to protect it, a Spider-Man once appeared briefly. But the Prowler said this world didn't need her.

"I've been to nearly two hundred universes with Spider-Men. Every Gwen Stacy, except those of us who became villains, fell because of Spider-Man. But when I became Spider-Man myself, everything changed. Every fall stopped being a fall and became a leap."
[The Prowler Miles and Spider-Gwen's pride and prejudice.]
1. The two leads are Spider-Gwen and the Prowler Miles (E-42). The plot takes center stage, while the romance is more than friendship but not quite love.
This story also retains the bond between Spider-Man Miles (E-1610) and Gwen from Across the Spider-Verse, which goes beyond friendship. So it's easier to understand their relationship if you read it as friendship. (Essentially, it's a more-than-friends relationship between two Mileses and one Gwen, except that E-1610 Miles doesn't appear directly in this story.)
2. Author's settings: The characters' relationships and personalities are based on Across the Spider-Verse, but the timeline is set after the Spider Society crisis has been resolved and everyone has returned to their own worlds. They don't have watches. Miles-42 has only met Miles-1610.
3. You can follow along even if you haven't seen the original, but giving it a watch is totally worth it, friend!
4. Cover art by Saozi.
Theme: People who act tough but have soft hearts will always overcome prejudice.
Dedicated to "Spider-Man from the Sky", thank you Mrs. Jueran for being willing to tell us this story. Since I have never written a book review, please forgive me if it is a bit verbose. In fact, I don't have the habit of writing book reviews, but I think "The End of the World" is a very special article for me. As someone who is always "untimely" when entering the book, this is the first time that I have followed the chapter to the end of the serialization (does it feel like I am participating in witnessing the growth of my children?), And my wife will reply seriously to every message I leave (she is really a very gentle person). Apart from that, "The End of the World" itself is a very good fanfic. The three-dimensional characters and exciting plot are what motivate me to follow up. When reading, I often feel like I'm watching a movie, and I attribute it to my wife's writing skills. The most important thing is that in this article, I deeply felt my wife's love for the characters in the novel, especially her love for Gwen. I remember that my wife discussed in the chapter "Fall" the question of "who will Gwen fall for, and who does she need to fall for?" I think the text of this article including this article is the wife's answer. No matter whether Gwen will become a tool or get a bad ending again in subsequent movies, at least in this article she will always be fresh and three-dimensional, living only for herself. I think this is also the point of fandom. My three favorite excerpts from this article are: 1. When Miles watched Gwen practice drums through the observation window outside the rehearsal room, he recalled the Patron Saint's Day in Puerto Rico (is this your first time, haha), 2. Wristband's performance at the livehouse, 3. After Miles and Gwen quarreled, one ran to play drums and the other ran to box. The two scenes switched back and forth (the writing here is really cool!) Then I originally wanted to talk about my favorite character, but after thinking about it, it seems that I like all the characters in this article, because they are all so vivid, and everyone has their own shining point, even the villain Murphy is very charming. Leo raised Miles alone after Jeff's death. Even though he didn't like Gwen very much, he did not hesitate to take her home to protect her after she was exposed. She was a strong and gentle mother; 42 Peter was bravely pursuing his dream even if he no longer had super powers; Ms. Kingsman, the school director, was very stereotyped when she first appeared: a serious, cold and unhuman dean, but later she was willing to go to the New York Police Department for the students; Stewart, Russo, and Joan, ordinary and brave girls. Their growth reminded me of——
Teacher, I would like to ask if there are any remaining physical books? I am the kind of reader who reads a few chapters at the beginning to see what I like, and then doesn't read the whole book until the end. Therefore, I didn't find out that your book is finished until now, and I missed the pre-sale of the physical book. But I really like this book written by the teacher. I would like to ask the teacher if there is any physical book left? Want to buy collection

So well written! The writing is good and has depth. It's amazing.
Joan: I'm playing a big game of chess (serious face)
Woo woo woo woo friends in the band are really nice! Even I would be moved to tears when I see my friends standing up for the injured Gwen, let alone Gwen who has been fighting alone? Speaking of which, the foreshadowing of 42 Mai's involvement in black boxing has appeared before, as well as the foreshadowing of borrowing a guitar pick. My wife is really good at foreshadowing.
Ahhhh wristbands. . Actually. . I want to see it. . Tie your hair with wristbands. . . . ?
