[An innocent, adorable little rabbit x a scheming, deep-thinking big bad wolf] Fake spoiled playboy and real sweet softie
When Chu Wan first arrived in Chang'an, the person she feared most was Liang Yun.
He was a complete playboy, relying on his family background to live an unconventional life. He loved teasing people and often made her blush, sometimes even teasing her until she cried.
Chu Wan really didn't like him.
Then came the rainy night when her uncle was wrongfully imprisoned. She stood on the cold stone steps, soaked through and utterly despondent.
Through her blurred vision, an umbrella appeared above her head. Liang Yun came toward her through the wind and rain, drew her into his arms, and held her with one arm. He whispered in her ear, "I'm here. You don't have to be afraid of anything."
At that moment, she thought that the man who was always picking on her might have a gentle, dependable side.
From that night on, Liang Yun's smile grew more and more dangerous.
At a flower banquet in the manor, he trapped her behind a rockery, his hand clasped around her waist as they looked into each other's eyes.
"Chu Wan, if you keep running away, I'll kiss you."
Her heart raced in confusion, but he leaned down, his lips brushing her ear as he murmured, "But I'd rather you kissed me first."
--
Whenever people spoke of the Third Young Master Liang, they called him a playboy, one of the most charming men in Chang'an.
But few knew that his eyes, which had seen all the world's vibrant beauties, could only hold the first young lady he had ever laid eyes on.
"From that day on, I made up my mind: if I ever saw that young lady again, I wouldn't let anyone else have her."
He had been in love with Chu Wan for years, and only he knew it.
If she appeared, he would claim her.
