Spoiled Young Lady x Loyal Young General
Ji Xiaoyue heard that rare snow deer could be found deep in the Pingliao Icefield. Eager to see one with her own eyes, she recklessly set off in a carriage.
A pampered girl raised in a fertile land could hardly withstand such bitter cold. Before the carriage even reached the edge of the icefield, her hands and feet had turned icy, and she was huddled under two thick quilts, unable to get out.
She decided it was better not to risk her life and turned the carriage around. But a band of bandits ambushed and abducted her.
She heard that the bandit chief was of marriageable age and planned to offer her to him as a wife.
Absolutely not!
She fled into the snowy night, nearly freezing to death in the snow, but a kind man who happened to be “passing by” rescued her. When she learned he was a frontier general, she asked him to wipe out the bandits.
He always nodded and agreed, but never seemed to do anything about it.
That is, until Ji Xiaoyue entered the military camp and saw those “bandits” calling the man training the troops their boss, then grinning at her and calling her sister-in-law.

Yan Re had never met a girl so delicate and pampered.
Wrapped in a scarlet rabbit-fur cloak, her little face red from the cold, she looked up at him with a touch of pink at the corners of her eyes, so pitiful it made his heart ache.
He took her home and cared for her attentively. He laid out a rug made from the white wolf king's pelt, burned charcoal made from a century-old cold pine, served venison fit only for the gods of the icefield, and made soup with an ice lotus that bloomed once every few decades.
Yan Re wanted to give her every precious thing the far north had to offer, but he couldn't bear to keep her there forever.

The unraveling of one colorful thread can reveal countless others. As Ji Xiaoyue followed them one by one, she never expected to uncover the Yan family's schemes of the past decade.
Nor could she have imagined that when she offered up her whole heart, all she would get in return was, “It was only because you were useful.”
So she was willing to use herself as the price, looking down as they struggled in a sea of misery. But then she saw a fool willingly descend into an abyss of no return for her.

“You can call me Duanduan. I'm proper and upright, as lovely as the moon.”

1. My writing is still immature. Thank you for your patience.
2. This isn't a story about an invincible heroine or hero. The plot is very simple.
3. The setting is fictional. Just enjoy it as a diversion; there's no need to overthink it.
4. The heroine is spoiled but reasonable. She does act foolishly sometimes, but she admits her mistakes and makes amends.
5. Yan Re nearly froze to death at birth, so he was given an unflattering name. His nickname is Cuozuo, the name you call a dog. His eldest sister came up with it while they were fighting. I hope you won't hold it against him for not being cool, handsome, and domineering enough.
6. Come over to my place for a drink!
Theme: Cherish the people by your side
I can't bear to finish it. I'm looking forward to the next one~
Sprinkle flowers, come on, author~
Did the Ji family do this just to send an heir out of the ice field?
Woohoo, did I miss it? I really don't understand the battle aspect.
I don't understand it a bit. I'm trying to take a look.
"Recovery" is a big thorn in the side of the author~ Reply
Why do you feel like this piece doesn't connect with the first chapter?
It's so well written. None of the characters force their wits to advance the plot. There is a sense of powerlessness between the male and female protagonists and not even the author can control their fate.
"Isn't it" a big bug for the author~
