The day he was thrown out of his home, the recipient learned that he was the evil cannon fodder in a novel, and that the seme he'd always bullied was the novel's protagonist.
1.
As an evil cannon-fodder character, the recipient was easily spoiled rotten by his family.
Arrogant and willful, he relied on his family's status to lead the class in ostracizing the protagonist, forced him to do his homework, and ordered him to run ten kilometers in the blazing sun to buy him milk tea.
Watching the seme's uniform become soaked with sweat, the recipient sipped his still-cool milk tea and frowned as he dodged the change the seme held out to him.
"Your sweaty hands got all over it. Disgusting!"
Then, on the day the college entrance exams ended, the recipient was so happy that he insisted on walking home by himself. Before he even made it past the first intersection, a car hit him.
That collision revealed to his family that he was the fake young master, switched at birth. It also made him realize that he was the evil cannon fodder in a novel, and the seme was the protagonist.
In the novel, the seme eventually rose to success and became the youngest financial magnate in Country A, surrounded by applause and flowers, with a bright future ahead.
The recipient, meanwhile, was mercilessly thrown out of his home, then taken away by the seme.
At first, the recipient in the novel thought the seme had taken him in because he still had some clout. He continued to put on a brave front, ordering the seme around and demanding money to spend.
But the seme soon used his fists to teach him the real reason.
The seme forced him to work several jobs, and the money he earned became part of the seed funding for the seme's business empire. On the day the seme's company went public, he broke the recipient's legs, leaving him to crawl for the leftovers the seme tossed him. The recipient's body had already been worn down by working nonstop, and he died not long afterward.
Now, the housekeeper who had announced that they were severing ties had just left. The recipient had yet to process all this information and the plot when the seme walked into the hospital room.
Seeing the seme's arms, each thicker than his own thigh, the recipient turned deathly pale and his legs gave way. He nearly fell to his knees.
2.
The seme had grown up in the mire.
Selfish, sinister, crude, and obsessive, he was like a pool of muck.
He didn't dare, and wasn't worthy, to touch the moon.
He never expected that, just when he thought all he could do was gaze up at the moon for the rest of his life, it would fall down to him.
And he would debase himself by catching it in his arms.
3.
The recipient had been living at the seme's home for some time now, but the miserable scenes from the novel, where he was beaten for no reason and forced to work several jobs, had yet to come to pass.
So his spoiled, willful nature gradually started showing again.
He worked up the courage to demand that the seme buy him milk tea and sneakers, do all the housework, pay his tuition, and support him through college.
Seeing the seme do all of it just as before, the recipient became more and more brazen.
But when the seme walked over and picked him up, the recipient now only dared to pout and sneak in a few kicks. He no longer dared to call the seme disgusting or tell him to get lost.
