Li Huailang transmigrates into a book, arriving after the ending of a male-oriented cultivation novel about leveling up. For no apparent reason, she becomes a hapless senior sister, with a grubby little boy crouching in front of her.
The System tells her that if she raises the male side character Bai Yu into the next male lead, it will send her home.
Suddenly becoming a mom, Li Huailang has a hard time accepting it. But when she crouches down and wipes his face clean...
Oh!
Suddenly, she thinks that becoming a mom without the pain of childbirth might not be so bad.
On her first day after transmigrating into the book, she takes the young boy's hand and tells him with a smile, "My name is Li Huailang. I'm your senior sister, and I'll always be by your side, supporting and loving you."
On the third day, Li Huailang shows him what it means to care for him by personally poisoning the rival sect until its members are dropping like flies.
In their fifth year, bright candlelight illuminates a tree in full bloom. Leading everyone, Li Huailang smiles and tells him, "Happy birthday. May you live freely from now on, without restraint, following your heart."
In their eighth year, she breaks the laws of Heaven and Earth that bind Bai Yu, telling him the world isn't simply black and white, and that love lives in people's hearts.
In their tenth year, just as she's achieved fame and success, the System tells her she can go home. Li Huailang gives up resisting and lets the sword in her chest sink three inches deeper.
"Senior Sister, didn't you say I still had you? Why are you leaving me too...?"
Her soul drifts above, calmly looking at Bai Yu holding her cold corpse in his arms, grief-stricken, then turns away.
When she opens her eyes again, Li Huailang sees Bai Yu standing before an ice coffin. He presses one hand to her shoulders and bends close to the little figure, who is beginning to tremble. His eyes, as black as ink, gleam with excitement and madness.
"Senior Sister, are you happy to see me again?"
"You once said you'd support me no matter what I did."
"I want you back, so I destroyed the Heavenly Dao. You'll support me in that, right?"
Li Huailang: ???
This is bad. Did she get her parenting wrong? She doesn't seem to have raised him into a principled male lead after all. Instead, she's turned him into a world-destroying villain...

At first, Bai Yu was no more than an anonymous fragment, living in constant fear. But the woman who took him in gave him wholeness. He experienced the seven emotions and the eight sufferings, and was reborn.
[Reader's Guide]
1. 1v1 happy ending. Not a story about a powerful female lead, and not a wish-fulfillment novel.
2. An unconventional female lead x a male lead who loves pretending to be a fragile puppy (she's not actually his mom!)
3. My own take on cultivation: boundless magic, lots of original worldbuilding, very plain and simple prose. Neither lead is perfect. Thanks for your support, sending hearts~
Theme: Keep the Great Dao in your heart
