A disruption in the flow of time and space hurls Song Yesheng into one small world after another, where she struggles to survive.
World One: The Tamed Merman
In a lavish auction house, a captive merman viciously slams his bloody tail against the reinforced glass. His sharpened claws scrape across it with a shrill screech.
Then a beautiful young man lifts his chin slightly and extends a hand as if granting a favor, declaring haughtily, "From now on, I am your master."
He thought he would kill the young man.
But he was wrong.
Later, he kneels on one knee, letting the young man rest his bare sole on his shoulder, and bows his head to call him "Master."
World Two: The Cold-Blooded Vampire
A prince of the vampire clan, he keeps a number of blood slaves in his castle, presented to him as tribute. But he never feeds on them. He hates the foul smell of blood.
Then one day, he suddenly catches a sweet, fragrant scent of blood.
The young man obediently tilts his slender neck, fingers clenched around the hem of his clothes. His voice trembles as he says, "Sir, be gentle."
Sharp fangs pierce the skin. Warm blood flows down his throat, filling him with supreme pleasure.
World Three: The Arrogant Angel
The faithful pray devoutly before the statue of an angel, hoping to earn the angel's favor.
Possessing supreme authority, the angel looks down arrogantly on these selfish or greedy believers.
"May you be well, my lord." Amid the many prayers born of selfish desires, he hears a faint blessing for the angel.
Sincere and fervent.
The angel sets aside his pride, descends to the mortal world, and takes his believer away.
But he discovers that the believer has other faiths, too.
Other worlds to be decided.
