Xu Xi is a diligent young actor. Handsome and refined, he has been steadily improving his acting skills, and recently shot to fame with a TV series, sending his popularity soaring.
A flood of casual viewers began digging into his past.
"His acting is pretty good, but his personality is nothing special."
"Without the show's fan goggles, he's shy and reserved in real life, not much to stan."
His manager was frantic with worry, but Xu Xi took it all in stride, obediently filming dramas and appearing on variety shows. He did have one recent concern, though: the kitten he'd picked up on set wouldn't meow.
He checked the kitten over. It was healthy and had no physical defects. Worried, Xu Xi had no choice but to ask for help on a pet forum.
"Hello, what should I do if my kitten won't meow?"
"We suggest demonstrating it for your kitten!"
Xu Xi was puzzled, but obediently held out a hand, loosely making a fist. His clear, gentle voice softened. "Meow~"
? That didn't seem to work.
The white cat sat coolly across from him, scratching the ground with its paw pads as if trying to endure something.

He Cheng is descended from an ancient White Tiger clan. In the modern world, he occasionally keeps watch over troublemaking spirits, and he's also an actor.
The kind who accidentally became an award-winning actor.
During a disturbance, he carelessly got a little hurt. He turned into a white cat to recuperate in the woods, only to be picked up by a young actor.
The young actor was gentle and unhurried, caring for him meticulously. Though his longing gaze was impossible to hide, he still packed up a little bundle to take him home.
With the bundle on his back, He Cheng nimbly hopped into the young actor's bed. The cat food was good, so he decided to stay and eat for a while longer.
He just hadn't expected the young actor to be so determined to make him meow.
Watching the other man after he'd washed up, damp black hair tucked behind his ears, softly meowing at him, He Cheng let out an uncontrollable growl and pounced on the pale, slender waist accidentally revealed beneath his clothes.
Meowing was fine, but it wasn't certain who would be doing it.
Xu Xi, pinned beneath the kitten: ? Why does it feel like I just saw a huge tiger?

"Could it be that it thinks its name sounds bad?"
-- 〒▽〒 Today I called him the Honorable White Chester, and he laughed at me! A Bai would rather laugh than meow.
