Patient [Secretly in Love]

As a rich kid who has been "exiled," Ling Chen challenges the limits of extreme living every day.

But even the best horse can stumble. After a ski-jumping accident sends him to the hospital, the unscrupulous media rush in, insisting he "attempted suicide."

So the young master Ling is too angry to sleep at night. He heads to the rooftop to smoke, but can't get his lighter to work.

Just then, the door opens, and a girl hugs him from behind. In the gentlest voice, she says the sternest words:

"Can you please stay alive? Do it for me."

Ling Chen stares at her, bewildered. "Who are you, little sis? Am I supposed to keep living for you, the Jade Emperor?"

The girl blinks innocently. "Your... hospital buddy."

Later, Ling Chen discovers that although his "little hospital buddy" is kind of boring, she is exactly his type. Maybe dating her wouldn't be so bad?

Tang Yi has been a "porcelain doll" since childhood. She has spent so little time outside the hospital that she can count the days on one hand.

The most extreme experience of her life came when she was seven, when a bold, reckless teenage boy took her for a ride.

That night, the sports car hit 180 kilometers per hour.

Watching his profile, she felt her heart race even faster than the car.

Knowing she doesn't have long to live, Tang Yi had originally planned to stay out of his life.

But one night, she saw a report that he had "attempted suicide" and watched him climb onto the rooftop alone...

*Ling Chen's love for Tang Yi is always "a knife hidden in honey." Only when she collapses in his arms does he realize the knife's point was aimed at him all along.

There are both happy and tragic endings, like a buffet. Pick whichever version you like.
