[Mysterious Lotus Casebook] See You Again in the Jianghu

[A note right at the start: Sorry, this ending left me feeling unsatisfied. If it's an open ending and we can't even let ourselves be happy, what a waste!]

[Blurb]

One

A tattered parchment map, and envoys from a kingdom that fell a century ago appear once more.

A soul-stirring red pearl, a lost treasure from a former dynasty resurfaces in the world.

Small towns, fishing villages,

one strange tale after another.

The jianghu is once again caught up in a tangled struggle for power.

On the shores of the East Sea, in a fishing village lane,

a rumor about a divine healer who can bring the dead back and restore flesh to bones draws crowds of people seeking treatment.

It seems an old acquaintance has returned. But when the door opens, there's only:

One person, one cat, one tea stove.

Three months ago, Huo Jianshuang got lost at sea when her compass failed, and found someone on the shore.

The person was deeply poisoned and had little desire to live.

Fortunately, she was a physician, and the person seemed harmless enough. She could only try to save them, even if they were beyond help.

Three months later, someone had exaggerated her medical skills, drawing a huge crowd that trampled the threshold of her little wooden house to pieces and got her entangled with several big names in the jianghu!

That day,

a young swordsman in white showed up with an adorable little mongrel dog. He threw open the door and shouted, "Dead lotus!"

Someone else leaped in through a side window, glaring furiously and making her little calico cat jump three feet into the air.

Good grief.

Only then did Huo Jianshuang realize!

The person she'd saved, who'd been serving her tea and helping her with chores, was none other than that scoundrel of a quack, Li Lianhua, whom she'd been searching for for years!

Theme: Whether he is Li Xiangyi or Li Lianhua, he deserves a happy ending
