This idea came to me while I was watching Engage Kiss*.
Blurb 1:
Some enemies know exactly how to get under your skin. Some allies do too.
Boss Dazai Osamu can't quite remember what possessed him to sign a long-term contract with this self-proclaimed archdemon named Marso. After all, the demon's food is his own emotions and memories.
But that doesn't stop him from describing his decision as "a moment of utter stupidity."
Under his master's impassive gaze, the archdemon Marso cheerfully greets everyone passing by on the street:
"Hi! Oh? Are you Mr. Nakahara Chuuya, the one my master actually kind of likes deep down? Ah, this is a little awkward... I think I stole your job?"
Nakahara Chuuya, still unaware that he'd just been fired: "...?"
As Nakahara Chuuya stares at him in shock and disbelief, Boss Dazai casually looks away, only to see Marso run up to a red-haired young man from the Armed Detective Agency.
"Hey! You're Mr. Oda Sakunosuke! My master thinks about you all the time, Mmmph!"
Oda Sakunosuke, who just happened to be passing by: "?"
With Dazai clamping a hand over his mouth from behind, Marso finally notices the murderous look in his master's eyes.
", Shut up."
...Yes, Boss Dazai suspects that this contract demon is here specifically to make him die of embarrassment.
Blurb 2:
After seven or eight years of painstaking effort, he will save his friend today. But just as his plan is nearing its final step, all sorts of bizarre, headache-inducing changes start appearing in the world. That's when a demon named Marso shows up in front of Boss Dazai.
Marso: "Hi! Want to make a contract, sir? You look troubled. We're having a sale, and we don't even need your soul!"
Boss Dazai: "..."
Marso: "I might not seem very strong right now, but give me enough fuel and I'll become the strongest demon! I can do anything!"
Boss Dazai: "..."
Marso: "Don't just stand there in silence, my dear master! Please! I promise I won't let you down! Give me a chance, boss, or I'll starve to death...!"
And so, under the crushing pressure of capitalism, Marso signed a long-term contract that made his demonic heart ache, becoming an exploited corporate drone. Though he seemed perfectly happy about it.
...There was no helping it. The despair and love in that person's heart were practically seeping through his skin and into the air. Any demon would be captivated by such a delicacy.
Every day, Boss Dazai handed over some of his most intense emotions, his deepest and most treasured memories, and entrusted Marso with his obsessions and ideals. All of it became Marso's power, turning the demon into the sharpest blade Dazai could wield to achieve his goals.
", Stop crying. It's kind of gross." Boss Dazai lowered his head expressionlessly, wondering which of his memories the demon had taken today as he looked down at Marso, who had grabbed his pant leg and was now sobbing uncontrollably after receiving some of his emotions.
...Well, the only downside was that he was far too easy to make cry.
Blurb 3:
The scene where Oda Sakunosuke points a gun at Dazai:
Oda: "I can't trust an enemy."
Dazai: "...Do as you like."
Marso (sobbing loudly): "No! Don't shoot! This is so sad! Don't point a gun at him in LUPIN!"
Oda: "?"
Dazai: "?"
Note: The author doesn't use an outline and tends to go off the rails. Don't take the blurb as gospel.
