[Bungo Stray Dogs] I'm Really Not a Cross-Dressing Man

Niki Etsuko is a woman with the supernatural ability [Cats Know] and a current member of the Port Mafia. She has one big problem.

Because of her ability, everyone, both in the Port Mafia and across Yokohama, assumes she is a man.

As a healthy adult woman with perfectly normal interests, Niki Etsuko often wears skirts and dresses.

Whenever she does, her normally respectful subordinates look utterly mortified.

"Hey, did you hear? Lord Niki is wearing women's clothes again!"

...I can hear you, you bunch of lousy subordinates!

When she walks down the street, passersby inexplicably start gossiping.

"Oh, I know! That famous pervert from the Port Mafia!"

"Ugh, she's wearing women's clothes and cat ears and a cat tail. She's definitely a pervert!"

...I've told you, it's because of my ability!

Even a certain former executive who defected long ago starts mocking her.

"Oh my, Yutaro, dressing as a woman again? What a pervert, teehee."

...Aren't you supposed to be immune to supernatural abilities?!

Mr. Mori watches the Port Mafia's reputation steadily go down the drain and falls into deep thought.

*Niki Etsuko was a real female mystery writer in Japanese history. Her best-known work, The Cat Knows, won the third Edogawa Rampo Award, with the award even presented by Edogawa Rampo himself. This story only borrows her name for a bit of fun, so please don't take it seriously.
