■Synopsis:
There have been two absurd experiences in my life:
1. I failed my college entrance exams, yet got accepted to a strange, obscure university with deep pockets. It charged no tuition and even guaranteed jobs to its graduates.
On the first day of school, I got a stack of new textbooks in class. I looked at the titles and fell into thought. Why weren’t they Civics, College English, or Modern History? Instead, I had Introductory Spells, Magical Potions and Elixirs, and Techniques for Entering and Leaving Dreams...
2. After graduation, the school really did assign me a job, with generous pay. Before I’d even reported for work, a huge sum had already been deposited in my account. The only thing was, my workplace turned out to be... a men’s prison.
After counting all the digits in my account, I hesitantly asked, "Professor, could I have another option? I don’t really want to work as a prison guard, especially in a men’s prison."
My old-fashioned professor, with his gentlemanly bearing, took off his glasses. "My child, you misunderstand. The academy isn’t asking you to become a prison guard. It wants you to use what you’ve learned over the past four years to infiltrate the men’s prison and become an outstanding undercover inmate."
Me: ...
After a long moment of shock, I asked, "Does ‘outstanding inmate’ mean getting my sentence reduced in the shortest possible time?"
The professor patted the top of my head. "As the only AA+ graduate in your class, your mission is to find an inmate with the codename Zang and help him escape successfully."
Me: ???
Still stunned, I came to my senses and asked the professor again, "What’s this inmate’s real name, or inmate ID? Does the academy have detailed information on him? I’d like to prepare in advance."
The professor shook his head. "Zang is very mysterious. The only two things we know about him are:
1) He is the founder of our university and speaks Loloko.
2) He has a distinctive tattoo on his lower back, but we don’t know what it looks like."
So I deliberately caused trouble, pulled the wool over everyone’s eyes, and got myself locked up in Cold Mountain Men’s Detention Camp.
The different colors of triangles on the prison uniforms represent different identities.
The patch on my sleeve was a red inverted triangle, meaning ‘antisocial.’
But I never imagined that before I could find Zang, something unexpected would happen to me: I somehow ended up sharing feelings and dreams with a slender, refined, frail, handsome heretic in the prison!
Not long afterward, my sleeve patch was changed to a pair of overlapping pink and red inverted triangles, meaning:
‘Antisocial homosexual.’
