When Lou Yan finally crawled out of the water, the Six Realms trembled, beasts wailed, and the demon and ghost clans knelt and pleaded: "Please, Demon Lord, lead us in conquering the Immortal Sect." It turned out he was no demon wolf. He was the last demon of the Nine Netherworld Underworld Realm. His hatred for Heng Qichun nearly turned Lou Yan into a bloodthirsty monster with fangs. In the end, he slaughtered the Six Realms, razing both the Immortal Sect and the Divine Realm to the ground. Heng Qichun was the last person he intended to kill with his own hands. Lou Yan pushed open the doors of the divine temple, only to find Heng Qichun kneeling in the middle of the hall, covered in blood. He had expended all his cultivation and had barely a breath left. As the words fell, Heng Qichun turned his sword on Lou Yan. They died together that winter. The little wolf let out a mournful cry, as if answering him. For two hundred years, blizzards raged, until the bones of gods and demons alike had vanished. Lou Yan opened his eyes once more and found himself back on the day he had knelt beneath the Heavenly Terrace Pool, just before Heng Qichun was to expel him from the sect...
