Cang Hua died at nineteen.

On the eve of her confession, Yan Ruo shoved her off a loft, and she fell to her death.

Cang Hua beat her chest in frustration: I was blind to fall for a murderer who cheats people out of their money and virtue.

After being reborn in another body, she couldn't wait to run up to Yan Ruo and give him a couple of hard slaps.

But she was trapped in Lin City, attacked by fierce beasts, and consumed by flames.

When she finally stood before him, Yan Ruo's eyes filled with shattered sorrow. His love ran as deep as the sea: For you, I would turn my back on the whole world.

Cang Hua spat: No thanks. A dog's devotion that comes too late is still worthless!

Today is the fifty-second day since she was reborn. Her first question after waking up: Have I given my ex a couple of hard slaps yet?

In the second year after Cang Hua's death, a strange tale began spreading through the realm of the demon beasts.

They say that on every dark and stormy night, a man in a cloak wanders through the wilds. Whenever he encounters a ghost, he pounces on it like a hungry wolf, then walks away looking dejected moments later.

No one dares approach him, because they say the man wears the terrifying face of someone whose wife has died.

Su Heng: Thanks. My wife really is dead.
