A Detective Conan World Without the Black Organization

This is a parallel world without the Black Organization.

GIN sucked on his cigarette. "Then who am I?"

In this world, he had no point of origin, no way back, no family or loved ones, no deep-seated hatred or grudges, and not even a conflict of interest. He didn't even have his old car (not really). The only things connected to him were the half-pack of cigarettes in his pocket and, oh, a windproof lighter.

But he wasn't feeling gloomy. He even lit another cigarette and sat on a reef, taking in the view.

A short distance away, several girls were laughing and playing volleyball in the sea. Amid a sudden scream, one of them sank beneath the water.

By the time they carried her to shore, she was beyond saving.

Just then, the great detective made a grand entrance in a tropical-print shirt, solving the mystery of the girl's death with a brilliant and precise deduction.

Some people were captivated by the detective, while others wept for the victim and the culprit. GIN watched coldly from the sidelines, then suddenly came up with a wicked idea.

Hello, world. Need a detective?

World: Thanks for the offer. I'll choose destruction.

It took GIN a long time to learn that although this world had no criminal organization, it did have Conan-style science, supernatural powers, and magic.

Author's Note:

1. The story is told from the top's perspective and takes place in a parallel world. The cases are all made up and nonsensical, so bugs are to be expected.

2. While watching the show, I came up with a ton of jokes and absurd ideas that had nowhere to go, so I started this story for my own amusement. If it can entertain a reader or two as well, all the better.

3. Updates before 10 p.m. If there's no update by then, there won't be one that day.
