Why Is the Pet Hospital Closed Again Today?

[Reclusive Genius Veterinarian Top Qi Wendong x Handy Repairman Bottom He You, with the bottom pursuing the top]

After graduating, Qi Wendong opened a veterinary clinic. His social media feed was full of cats, dogs, and good food, and he was living a very comfortable life!

One rainy summer night, a bolt of lightning struck him with a crackle and knocked him out cold.

When he woke up, he found that the stray cats and dogs he'd taken in at the clinic had all mutated. They were yapping away at him!

Stray cat: Daddy!

Stray dog: Daddy!

A skinny little dog crouched in the corner, its back to him, not saying a word.

Qi Wendong thought the lightning had made him lose his mind. He walked over and patted the little dog sulking in isolation. "Hey, what's up with you?"

The little dog turned around and blinked its round black eyes. But the voice that came out was a clear male voice: "Hubby..."

.

Qi Wendong always thought his curiosity about He You was fleeting, and that most of the time it was because of the little dog who called him "Hubby."

That was until the day the little dog was discharged, and Little He stopped coming by too.

Qi Wendong was in a bad mood all day. At dusk, he locked up the clinic, walked from one end of the street to the other, and slipped into He You's repair shop.

The next day, the veterinary clinic didn't open on time.

1. Based on a short idea I posted before;

2. Happy ending, slice of life, sweet romance. Neither lead has any romantic experience;

3. "Didn't open" means Qi Wendong wasn't seeing patients. Not a single cat or dog was harmed;

4. Hearing the cats and dogs talk is a hallucination caused by the lightning strike, not something he can really do. This story has no fantasy elements.
