If I Don't Win the Championship Soon, I'll Be Forced to Inherit the Gojo Clan

Gojo Shizuku is the eldest son and heir of the Gojo family, one of the three great sorcerer families. He hates working as a sorcerer, and he hates the rotten old fossils of the jujutsu world. His dream is to become a manga artist.

So...

"You stupid little brother, the Gojo family is all yours!"

At the time, 5t5 was still very young and had no idea what the future held: ...

*

Gojo Shizuku sealed away his cursed energy and took turns throwing in his lot with the wealthy families he'd once counted as powerful patrons: the Atobe family, the Akashi family, the Mikage family, and the Suzuki family. He lived the life of an ordinary person.

Shizuku: "So this is the legendary basketball?"

"Crash!"

The basketball hoop toppled over.

Shizuku: "So this is the legendary tennis?"

"Help!"

His opponent turned pale at the sight of his super-spinning serve.

Shizuku: "So this is the legendary volleyball?"

"You're a genius!"

A setter passing by rushed over and shouted, "Please join our volleyball club!"

Gojo Shizuku, who had been used to fighting alone from birth, suddenly understood the power of friendship, love, passion, and all that good stuff. Inspiration flooded him, and he decided to make volleyball the subject of his manga!

*

Gojo Shizuku joined the volleyball club, gathered inspiration, and drew plenty of rough drafts, sharing them with his friends to get their opinions.

Reader No. 2, Nozaki: For a beginner, this is really good!

Reader No. 3, Yukimura: So why is it superpower volleyball?

Reader No. 4, Akashi: Why are you showing this to me? Do I look like a manga editor?

Akashi again: This part, this part, and this part could use some revisions.

Years later, 5t5 had just entered Tokyo Jujutsu High and suddenly gained extra memories of the future: ...

Is it still in time to drag him back and make him head of the family? I don't want to do it either!

*

A curse is hidden within Gojo Shizuku. The day he experiences the taste of failure, he will face the most unfortunate thing in the world.

Shizuku: Does that mean if I lose a game, I'll be forced to inherit the Gojo family?

Good grief, what a vicious curse!

I'll never let that happen!

Before-reading tips:

* This is all about volleyball, with lots of background characters from sports anime who appear without their plotlines. You can read this without having seen them.

* The main plot is winning the volleyball championship; the secondary plot is becoming a manga artist.

* The male lead is the strongest.
